So the people who pay $100 for a seat sack the guy who pays $1m every year? Not that he didn’t need getting booted, but the $100 directors should have been more of a priority.

Thank you TJ4. I appreciate you sourcing that for me and will definitely have a listen later today. Off to Yum Cha with the family shortly and that takes priority (the Yum Cha, not the family).
As I said in a response to another poster, I have high regard for Rick and believe him to be an honorable man.
Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for that. Wayde is honorable and therefore believable. It's funny, though, I asked Cochise on the forum yesterday what evidence existed and he said something along the lines that he trusted the people that told him it was true. Cochise is absolutely entitled to that position but I was looking for something a little more concrete.
No matter what, the Magpies are not coming back to the NRL. If Romero and Burgess are guilty of trying to make that happen I will condemn them as much as anyone. Until then, there is good enough reason to pursue them for other 'sins'.
I have no problem with that mate, I am acting on information I believe to be true, and you should 100% do the same.

I know a lot of people read these threads who are not registered on the site.

This is a call to arms, for not just Tigers fans but ALL NRL fans.

Please sign the petition.
Let's get some much needed progress within a troubled club with a rich history that deserves a chance just like any other club.

Signed up this morning , let’s get it done

Today we are taking the first step into launching action to change the governance of the majority shareholder of the Wests Tigers, the Holman Barnes Group (HBG).

This action commenced after the HBG board (controlled by Magpies die-hards Julie Romero and Dennis Burgess) dragged its feet over introducing and adopting the full recommendations from the external review into the governance of the Wests Tigers.

We fought so hard for that review in 2023 and it only came about because everyone supported the petition.

This time, we intend to make our action much bigger and louder than the individual supporter groups and we will be working together, all Wests Tigers social and media outlets, to support this action under the banner of ‘Wests Tigers Unite’.

Ahead of this action, we again ask that you take an interest in this important matter as it is the final hurdle in giving the Wests Tigers the ownership and governance that will help the club we all love thrive.

In the coming days, a petition will be added by organisers and I encourage EVERYONE to sign. In a time where the trajectory of our club is in the right direction, the board continues to derail and cause embarrassment to what we are trying to achieve. Any personal issues need to be put aside and collectively, as a fan base, we come together in hopes of a result. A result we all want & need.

I'm all in

Good move guys, this needs to be done and I can see it gaining more traction than the last one did that forced their hand into the initial review.
We can’t keep letting this “sleeping giant” of a club be so poorly run and achieving such disastrous results.
100 percent Tucker, once this gets up and running the media will be all over why the Wests Tigers supporters are screaming for another review 12 months after they were screaming for one at the Wests Tigers. There will be some hard questions asked of the HBG boardroom I hope they get hammered, same as the guys from the Balmain side who keep leaking things. The only board I give a toss about is the Wests Tigers board. That they know what they're doing and they're independant and autonomous

Who cares, the whole point of everything they're trying to do is to bugger off the rusted on Magpie and Balmain factions, who care what anyone says about the Magpies or the Balmain Tigers. We're the Wests Tigers.
Agreed but having followed the Maggie’s since 1961, I still have a deep affection for them. I don’t want them back in the NRL but I don’t want to see the brand put down either. Criticise individuals by all means. I’d feel the same for the Balmain side of the JV. Both clubs should be respected as part of our history but our future is WT.

got a few people to also sign this, but i fear the only real way for anything to happen is at the cash register, otherwise history says nothing is likely to change.
