I was looking to signup as a member, however their ONLY form of paying to become a member was to put my full credit card, expiry and cvc details on to a piece of paper and email or post it to them! Highly unprofessional, possibly even illegal these days. Anyone could intercept this and use my card as they like, totally unsecure. This may have been ok in the 80s or 90s but things have come a long way since then however both Balmain and Wests haven't.

Just another reason why neither should have anything to do with a professional club other than token legend history events with punters. Have a beer with blocker etc.
You're the one stuck in the past. I just did the whole process online so don't know what you're on about.

Funny how you forget that that was the previous board before Julies coup. You know the Julie who had no issue writing emails to everyone on the former HBG board at the time about her reservations about the review.
The same Julie that orchestrated the removal of the 3 board members who commissioned and accepted the reviews findings.
The same Julie who threatened our chairman with lawyers if he held a board meeting without her approval.
The same Julie who could have issued a statement to openly say she supports the review, which took her 4 days to do after the storm erupted. Mind you she has never actually said she supports anything, she just hides behind press releases.
The same Julie that turned up to the behind the roar podcast looking like Oscar the grouch, like she arrived straight out of a bin and couldn't string a proper sentence togeather.
That Julie HBG trusty boardroom leader.
My, those are some conspiracy theories. I suppose the world is flat too.

I wouldn’t be too hard on Julie and her 3 mates, things are moving too quickly. We have a CEO and Chair at WT who are on top of their game. It’s been difficult trying to justifiably boot the chair out.
Someone has installed online credit card use.
They’ve had a hell of a time trying to get rid of the 3 dudes who were doing their darnedest to propel the club into present day governance practices.
And to top it off the fans are demanding reviews which could mean more transparency.
I think the gang of 4 have done a remarkable job trying to keep their blazers, given the circumstances.

The debenture system argument is a giant furphy.
No it's not. Its a problem. But if they still go through with the wests tigers recommendations in full, it should get a reprieve for a while.

I'm hoping they show some true leadership and push to change it themselves. Restand for the roles at a general members election.

The debenture system is only a rort if you’re not in it
Kind of like the CCP. Even John Hargrove admits it's a faulty system. These clubs get massive tax breaks from taxpayers and therefore these roles, particularly when paid, need an open structure.

Even if you're a debenture holder I think you'd know it's the wrong way to go. Its just hard to give up the power when you dont have to earn it.

But as I said before, they can earn a reprieve if they can park their self interests for our team. Lets give them that chance until kickoff.

Correct and and if they are doing a good job in the members eyes they will get re- elected.

Another example of why the Wests Tigers need separation from the ownership group.
I don't see how this inflammatory b/s comment from you can relate in any way to the current ownership group and also something that happened 25 years ago.

You have never spoken to anyone at HBG at all have you?

I had conversations way back in 2017 with Simon at Ashfield. Even back then his comments were "we need to make Wests Tigers as self sustainable as we possily can. We cannot rely on leagues club monies to fund the football club"

Thats not a Richo policy.

That has come from the Holman Barnes Group. And several years back.

If you speak to anyone involved from Ashfield when they first bailed Balmain out (to the tune of $8.5m in 2016) you would know that.

But apparently, they are "unqualified"... Go Figure
cdinoz007 I've just realised there isn't one person on here apart from the obvious ones, that are prepared to give a 50% good review 50% bad review of what does or doesn't need to be done.
Whenever HBG or WESTS MAGPIES are mentioned it's accusations of them being 100% bad.
In other words, they are biting the hand that feeds them.
