OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Understand that, but if you're an ectomorph you struggle putting on muscle.
I think he’ll naturally fill out some and would be focused on increasing his speed and power. He’ll be hard to handle a little like Turbo.

I’m going against a common thought, I don’t see him as a forward in the NRL.

This is a professional sport where
the best player should be selected each week no matter how long they are contracted to the club.
Agree, but when there is a struck match between them......I'd be supporting the player who wants to invest in the club long term

Could be a fake post, but came up on my Facebook, the source was the Mole, Roosters to make significant bid for Lachlan Galvin, well they cannot develop their own, so buying is there only option.
Not supposed to be allowed to make an offer till November so doubt anything on Facebook could be legit if only you could infiltrate the player recruitment dark web then you would know.

I'm not convinced LG is going to fill out and put on a lot of muscle. He looks like a skinny ectomorph to me.
Lol mate have to admit googling that for the meaning you may be right let's see what happens when he tops his height out most footballers fill out as they get older time will tell.

he played exclusively in the halves growing up but moved to fullback in his first year of SG Ball to accommodate Galvin moving from the edge to 6.

I think he'd prefer to probably play in the halves but there is something of a logjam there. I feel like he's destined to wear the 14 once Tallyn and Latu find their way into the starting side.
Played mostly fullback lately but as you said about his preference could account for his lack of ability under the highball like him not afraid to inject himself into the attack.

Masons definitely got talent and speed.Think hes a candidate for fullback presuming he can get over his high ball issues
He is almost identical in height and weight to Reece Walsh, which is interesting comparison
If he is fast enough...hes good enough to play at no 1

What people don't understand is that everyone has a natural limit. That's why some can train like a world champion and struggle in KOE, others can breeze through and star in NRL. You can't just take any average second rower, feed him heaps of protein, flog him in the gym and turn him into Olakauatu. Genetics control their destiny. I don't think Galvin is getting much bigger or faster.

A good sprint coach can get a bit extra split second speed in that first 5 metres ...can make a great difference

Everyone knows who the fast guys are, they show it from day 1. I can't remember any slow guys who all of a sudden became one of the fast guys.
100%

You cant use sprint training to replicate genetic fast-twitch muscles - but those highly gifted athletes with natural pace also tend to require more cardio/endurance training to be effective for 80 minutes (see Reece Walsh hitting the effort wall in the 23 GF as just one example)... !

Or they play on the wing...

kid had a decent year, but was part of a team that won the spoon. His performance in the PMls game was ok but not a stand out.

I think he will need to rise another level this year without overplaying his hand (which he did a little last year), oppositions will work him and he will be more of a target.

Hope he and the team goes well, so he can see progress and hopefully commits longer term.

If not hope Latu is up for the challenge.
