Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Usually every pre season I look at the squad with optimism; I think last year was the first time I looked at it and man... It was dire.

While centre is the position I'm most concerned with, I really do think they have the best 30 they've had in a very long time.

Apart from the actual cattle, I think one of the best decisions the tigers have ever made is appointing Shane Richardson. Even now I'm having a chuckle because of his decision to get rid of the barber at the COE! 😂

I really do have faith that they have the right plan, they no longer take shit and, although it's painful now, they are staying the course and the foundations are there for this to be a watershed period for club.
It is a bit scary the amount of optimism on here, especially after last offseason I had never felt so down about the club. Anyone with half a brain could see that we had the worst squad on paper and 2024 was going to be a wooden spoon year.

The transformation of the top 30 in one year has been remarkable. While there is still plenty of work to do it is a squad that should get within a couple of spots of the 8 and build on over the next couple of years.

Absolutely. Thank you for common sense. The transformation has been off the field not yet on. It is still a mystery.

Quotes from Galvin:

"I'm really staying out of that at the moment. My manager is dealing with that," Galvin told Zero Tackle.

"I haven't really heard much about it. Nothing's really happened at the moment so I'm just going to let this year play out and whatever happens, happens.

"I don't really want to get into talks at the moment. I just want to play my best."

Absolutely no indication he wants to stay a WT....This is EXACTLY how things played out with Moses and Tedesco when they were being managed by Issac Moses....I'm telling you Galvin is as good as gone after his current contract!.

It’s actually worse than Moses and closer to Teddy if anything.

The biggest difference though is he isn’t even hinting or doing the fan PR stuff - which will make it easier pill to swallow if he leaves.

It would surprise me if anything happens before he goes to market and would surprise me even more if he stayed regardless of the results that happen this season.

Look he is a NRL player. This is a prepared wooden statement.

I am seriously surprised when those guys even say the word "contract". Had a few in for "work experience post NRL"... YEESH they knew nothing...

His manager has said "say nothing. just say your staying out of it." Body language though when answering the question would give away the real hints.
