He really looked goodRound 1?
He was better than TDS, but probably due to age and experience against men bigger than himself. He really looked good
It looked like the way Penrith supports its players, that was a very good sign !
Such good signs.
I think we're in for a good season.
Hope is currently on a train & trial so not eligible to play until Round 11. Was thinking a way around this without sacrificing our last remaining spot in top 30 is to give him our 6th & final development contract which is currently being held for when Makasini turns 18 I believe. He was better than TDS, but probably due to age and experience against men bigger than himself.
Hope is not big, but a sharper pass from dummy half, tackles well and has smarts. He will start round 1 with Api out based on what we saw in two trial games. TDS will be good he has to harden up and put on mass to play hooker.
Jeez I hope the referees aren't going to ref the way Klein did last night. Coach Ryles has definitely got the slow down tactics right. Parra could easily have had at least one in the bin (Lussick). There's already massive inconsistencies in the way the game is being reffed in the last 2 weeks. Not referring to us either, but across the whole game.
On another note, Matterson was atrocious for the Eels. No wonder they’re trying to move him on.
Yep, no Bateman or Sezar plus giving Seyfarth captaincy seemed to cool his head. Can we give Benji a wrap too.
2 weeks in a row good of direct play with good discipline. The defensive resolve on our goal line wasn't as good as last week, but still got the win. There's been a big shift from last year, and so far it been good
He also looks a very strong defender, plays well above his weight.Hope is not big, but a sharper pass from dummy half, tackles well and has smarts.
Has outplayed TDS 2 weeks in a row IMO.
I didn’t even know Hope before these two trial games but I thought he easily outplayed TDS these past games. More experience and team had an extra burst of energy when he came on. TDS is a long term project still imo, needs to work on his defense in Cup.Hope is currently on a train & trial so not eligible to play until Round 11. Was thinking a way around this without sacrificing our last remaining spot in top 30 is to give him our 6th & final development contract which is currently being held for when Makasini turns 18 I believe.
Hope could take this contract until June 30 which would give the club ample time to look at either upgrading him to top 30 as a hooker/lock utility this year and/or longer. By June 30 others may have moved by then i.e. Tumeth, Klemmer. We may even create another development spot by then if we move on Lobb or Craig who I doubt will be retained beyond this season.
He looks like he’s on the juice. On another note, Matterson was atrocious for the Eels. No wonder they’re trying to move him on.
…. Whatever he’s on, it ain’t working. He looks like he’s on the juice.
Klein is never kind too us. The dinosaur has no feel for the modern game and loves to blow the pea out of the whistle… cull the dinosaur and in with the new imoKlein is and always has been one of the worst biased referees going around,it is not just us that he seems to dislike because every game he has he seems to favour one side and penalize the crap out of the other in his decisions.
Out wide @ centre maybe?Thought Latu looked really dangerous out wide tonight.
Don't know about Moltzen but pretty sure Teddy did an ACL and then a fractured kneecap later on when he was at the tigers, just googled it but couldn't find it, could be wrong was a long time ago maybe someone on here can remember.Wasn’t it Moltzen who fractured his knee cap?.
