Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

How on earth could he be fit and ready? He hasn't played any footy or done any training for 18 months. He might have gym fitness but football fitness is different
Xerri went alright for the dogs last year. Think he was out of the NRL for longer. His Bio-Chemist has some good multi-vitamins tho.

Sorry, I would have posted this in The Board Mega Thread but is was closed.

Show me The Peppermoney!

Not only is this guy rich he makes other people rich. Let's hope his association with us is a Win Win for us both. Interesting article on news.com.au

Fascinating, although when I first saw him I thought he was Lees son ! Lol.

It's his lack of effort at times defensively that is the problem. Look at parras first try again. Naden has a bad miss, and it takes the hooker to come across to try and cover Nadens mistake while Doueihi simply made zero effort until it was too late. He does this all the time. If he pushed across straight away he is making the tackle well before TDS even gets there. If he fixes those effort areas and uses more composure in his decision making defensively, then he is a huge asset at centre. However most of us are sick of waiting for him to do this.
Which is why he can’t be on elite dollars together with his injury history

iongi was Doueihis man. Doueihi didn’t move across fast enough forcing Naden to have to try defend 2 at once

Some on here have no idea. AD should be a priority signing. I'd be interested to know another player in the NRL who can genuinely play a heap of positions ie fullback, 5/8, halfback, center, wing and is big enough to play in the forwards. He is big, strong and fast. Plus he's a really good kicker ( short, long and goal ). Seems to be an all round nice bloke and a good club man. An asset for any team.
For the $ Doueihi is being paid I rate him as good value as a reserve, I’m old school and if you can’t tackle your to much of a liability in defence for 80 minutes.
But he does enjoy attacking and gives another attacking option if required.
Late in a game if we are chasing points he would be useful.
But
If we are in front and hanging on I’d be leaving him on the bench.

Unless his self belief has changed doubt Douehi is satisfied with his current contract at WTs. - even more so after a decent performance. I'd say he would be more than interested in any club willing to give him a crack in his favoured position. Not sure how the club would view it.

Adam Elliot , knights will let him walk, better than our back up
How do you know Knights would let him walk ?
I think he would be a great fit as our starting 13 for 2026 & 2026.
He and Jack Bird could share the 13 role and it would also give us the option of playing JB on an edge.

Didn't one of our forum members suggest Souths had made an approach to our club for Doueihi? If so, there must be concern about the halves at Souths.

He was listed a while back as one of a list of knights players offered up to move on

I think Doueihi had a great game at half against the Eels.
1. He limited Galvins dominate hands on the ball
2 He dictated the attack plays, short and long kicks
3. Kicked great goals
However;
1. His defence is still suspect. Still no urgency in cover defence. Content to watch the ball passed on.
2. The opposition coach was caught off guard with Doueihi's attacking skills. Once the coach or coaches see the replays he will be marked much closer.....2nd game syndrome. Wont be repeated.
3. Not fast off the mark, nippy etc. Will be easily locked up. Not a long term solution at 1/2.

Unsigned Kobe Hetherington wants to be a Bronco for life despite almost departing Red Hill for the Tigers.

Kobe Hetherington has urged Michael Maguire to keep him at Red Hill long term after the new coach blocked the Brisbane forward from defecting to the Wests Tigers in 2025.

Hetherington proved Maguire’s instincts correct, producing a hit man like performance in defence against Canterbury in Saturday’s trial at Kayo Stadium.

He would've been just what we needed at the back.....oh well

Of course not, he was just an alternative option at 7. IMO he’ll be taking Nadens position in Round 1.
if he keeps kicking goals he’ll be worth picking just for that. There’s been plenty of good kickers picked over the years who couldn’t run or tackle.
And if he handles the kicking it’s one less thing for API to think about.

$250k I would probably re-sign … but I don’t want to pay him more and some other team will ..

Still think it might happen in 2026
Watching the broncs last night ,it’s pretty obvious that Pat Carrigan was struggling at prop.
So he may end up back at lock by the end of this year leaving Kobe on the outer

Stef dumped to the bench and out of breath after ten mins…the upgrade from him to may is out of this world…we never get that lucky
2025 is the year our fortunes turn around
Stefanie should take up a career in boxing... lol he'd get folded in half. Absolute pretender.
