OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

My optimism has gone already...

I am just trying to work out, with Newcastle offering Dylan brown 13m over 10 years... Should we be competing for Galvin or see if Fletcher Sharpe is wanting a go?
While we are at it, see if we can do a package deal for Dylan Lucas as well. Can't be any worse than what we already have or is he just like all the other players that we make look like super stars.

It's all click bait. Dylan Brown signs, so now they are speculating. No one can approach him for another 8 months.

I expect the contracts of Klemmer and Olam to be terminated in the coming month, freeing up cash for Galvin for the next 2 years, an incentive for a contract extension.

You can't blame Galvin for not committing before the 2025 season even started. The club has been a shambles and we've 3 wooden spoons.

My two cents is not to get emotional, he's a grounded kid, the Eels screwed him over once and he wont be going back there. Terrell May will have some nice things to say about the Roosters.

Tigers will throw $1mill a season at him if they have to, he will get what he wants in Tigers colours.

Chammas stating on 100% footy Galvins camp and manager in no hurry to sign. As expected manager has told clubs to have the chequebooks ready.
Also did say that didn’t mean Galvin wont stay.
100% clickbait.
"Get the chequebook ready". I'd be saying that too if I had a client in as much demand as Galvin. It's all part of the negotiation process.
Tigers will throw everything and the kitchen sink at him. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a 10-year contract at the Tigers similar to Brown.

Issac Moses would love nothing more than to pair Galvin and his nephew Mitch up at Parra. In their eyes Moses, a natural 7, compliments Galvins game better than Luai who is still really a 6 playing 7. Mark my words Mark O'Neill would also derive great pleasure in "stealing back" their local Junior...for my money Galvin is as good as gone.....face the facts Richo and Benji
Facts?
Hes no parra local jnr for a start.
The rest is your opinion
No facts here

"everyone get the chequebook ready"
" hey go like some instagram comments about how you should go back to parra after you have a tea party with my cousin who is the 7"
typical i moses circus antics always playing hardball for his clients

100% clickbait.

FWIW I don't really care. I was just relaying what was on the show more for the fact that anyone worried about it or expecting it to be resolved soon should understand this will be going all year. Moses would be a fool to sign Galvin up before November 1 and while I think he is a prick, he certainly is no fool.

Anyway, personally despite any emotional ties he might have to Parra, I think it will be the Dogs. Their coach isn't an unknown and they aren't going through a rebuild anymore.

The club can escape the manager limbo by selecting Fainu in the 6 or 7 as our long term partner with Luai. We are building but the team/club needs certainty. Accept that Galvin will move on in 2 years and plan accordingly. We also have Mason so we do have depth in the halves which is a credit to the club.
Exactly… Mason, untested at 6, could be a dynamic 6, he has pace and backs up like T lamb did… seriously we are well placed if Galvin doesn’t want stay….. but it would be good to know his intentions sooner rather than Nov1

That would be the greatest F-up in professional sports history. The kid has done nothing yet.
Giving him an massive 10 year deal would destroy the club. The players would likely trip over themselves running for the exit door.

I’d love to see how Mason goes in the halves - too short for fullback

Sensible opinion mate,I dont care if Galvin stays or goes, for years I watched talented players be developed here and then leave or get stale here then leave...
Tedesco was well looked after by us when out injured, great talent but in the end went elsewhere,Brooks superhyped up after debut was going to be the greatest since Johns, bad rosters, different coaches and bad admin he ended up elsewhere...
Its the NRL where big money is offered to keep and buy the best players...the trick there is to justify the big money your on..In my opinion Galvin isnt quite up to NRL standard although he shows potential, that is all it is at the moment, just that he needs to develop, learn the game to be at the top of it and hopefully dont get injured as many do..
I hope he does do well not at our expense when we spend big for minimum input...
Its yet to be seen if Galvin is a million dollar buy...

I know it's a bit different because he plays in the middle in a high impact position but at least players like Jason Taumalolo had the form on the board to warrant a million a year, but 10 years was always going to be ridiculous unless they were always counting on wringing whatever they could get out of him until he broke and then count on a medical retirement in the final years.

In fact 10 years on a big contract is a huge risk for any player especially if they aren't a proven consistent game changer that is capable of regularly winning games for their team.

If Galvin and Luai don’t click after round 5 latu should be given a go…we have to remember we have bud back on our books next season also(whilst avg. he will provide depth)

Under no circumstances would I be releasing Galvin early…we have him for another year on cheap coin…he can play in a number of spots and provide depth if need be.

Worst case for us for 2026 we rock with
Nrl
7.Luai
6.Latu

NSW cup
7.Bud
6.Galvin

I can safely say that Lachlan Galvin will never play reserve grade. he'll be in the back row or at 13 before he's playing Cup.
