Moses isnt playing.
We always compete with Parra at this time of the year and its our best time to cop them, depleted side or not.
That said, they are missing Moses, Gutho, Sivo...guys who always rip us to pieces. We owe them for spoonbowl. That 60 points should have been burnt into the souls of everyone who was here last year. All the new guys come from clubs who usually beat Parra, so I doubt theyll be concerned by them.

I think we'll let in 2 tries but score 5. Im going to select a 28 points to 14 victory.

Yep Sivo was always a nightmare, spiders hanging all over him as he normally scored hat tricks

yes Bula hasn’t really had the chance to showcase his speed in open space. I do vividly remember him in a reserve grade game though scoring a full field try which looked effortless almost

I’m not sure he’ll ever reach the heights of an elite fullback but I do see the talent there and I think he’ll have quite a few highlights over his career

But like I’ve said twice now , that game is not a North Star for us to be pointing to and saying “ that’s what we should defend like” because despite the structures working imo , like you said , we fell off 50 tackles .
But on a side note , god im sick of people on here speaking in absolutes as if they’re the Dalai Lama of nrl wisdom .

You want to know why we lost that game ? It wasn’t because of shit defence , it wasn’t even because of shit attack . It was because at key times in that game we made the wrong decision and lost the moment . With either errors , erratic play , missed tackles etc .
Even the Greg marzhew try , we did all the right things defensively to cause disruption in their attack , only for guys to fail close down the space around him , covering from the inside . And because he’s a unit , he runs over his opposite number to score the winner .
We put ourselves in that position from errors in the first place .
We limit the errors out of yardage and make sure we are turning over the ball in better positions we wing that game and most games .
But that’s just my opinion , and I’m not moron , or a f wit , or a loser , or a dope because some dude from NQ, or wherever , who’s never even been to watch a game in Sydney can’t hack that someone has a differing opinion.

A slightly different take. If we are scrambling, it means our defensive system is not working. Line breaks were 7 to 1. The fact we held them to 10 says more about the effort to recover than anything as well as some luck going our way.

Our biggest issue is scoring points. So many games in recent years we can't score more than 10 to 18 points a game. It has a major impact on defence.

Ok I’ll rephrase , everyone I’ve spoken to privately about @Tucker has said the same thing . They can’t talk And offer opinions on here , because they’re afraid of his nasty comments and just bullying . He polarises every topic and makes posters extremely unwilling to post on here. .
I had 2 people approach me about this so much so , that I privately contacted @Tucker to try and mend the fence , because I felt like I was perpetuating a lot of the drama on here by fighting back .
That’s actual facts .
Then because the guy can’t help himself , and he just wants to fight with everyone about everything , he starts taking pot shots at me again a few weeks ago , and I try and deflect and say “maybe he’s got a point” , and the. Because the guy is a bully he gets more and more brazen to the point where I realise , this guy is a bully and he can go eat shit .
None of that is a lie . It’s all truth . Does that mean I hate him personally . No not really . I hate how he polarises and rabble rouses people , who are prone to focusing on the glass half empty , especially after a 2 point loss .
It’s not right , and it’s going on years now, and is a remnant of when a certain faction took over this forum , and half the forum left .
That’s all truth , and I’m sick of pretending that it’s not . I’m all for free speech , because I love a good debate . But I’m so sick of the same group of guys , who read words on a forum with no emotion , and attach the most extreme emotions to what’s being said . Like right now , I can tell you I’m extremely calm and rational , but they will fire back with some reference to extreme anger . Because like I keep saying the guy is a Hammer . Mate, my advice to you is don't take things so personally. I've had plenty of tit for tats with Tucker but I just get on with it. I'll still read his posts and respond to him whether I agree or not, he'll respond to me likewise.
I posted something about TDS and Hope the other week and you couldn't wait to tell me how wrong I was. You never said anything when Hope started last week.

lol at those suggesting our defence wasn’t bad against Knights.
Our missed tackle count is the worst in the comp, our ineffective tackle count is 6th worst in the comp.

The reason the scores were close is because some of the new guys showed desperation and the opposition were pretty shit. Newcastle have the worst completion rate in the comp, the most amount of errors, second most penalties against them and the most ineffective tackles. They are laughing that they were so bad and still won.
