You mean like how he forgets how to play rugby league for weeks at a time?I think Cartwright is about the most feasible name suggested of late so far to come here in the near future …and let’s be honest, he is a player that has some weaknesses
Any idea if once it's done we start talking to May, I'm assuming if they had signed him already they already would have announced it we have spots available.this is what i am expecting on thursday
papers submitted to nrl last week
We already have a spot open with Klemmer gone. I'd imagine we still have money on the cap left. Unless they are upgrading Galvin and Talyn quite abit this year.Any idea if once it's done we start talking to May, I'm assuming if they had signed him already they already would have announced it we have spots available.
Alex Chan?Doubt we’d get him for this season but I think Joe Chan at Melbourne would be an upgrade in our backrow and can’t see him getting a spot at the storm behind Blore and Katoa.
Just curious if we have the spot available why it hasn't been announced if he has agreed? We already have a spot open with Klemmer gone. I'd imagine we still have money on the cap left. Unless they are upgrading Galvin and Talyn quite abit this year.
Think he's already agreed. He definately wants to play with his brother plus Turuva and Jerome are here too. No brainer.
Makes our backline even more dangerous.
Not sure tbh.Just curious if we have the spot available why it hasn't been announced if he has agreed?
Yeah mate I get you and likewise, didn't comment on anything other than Cartwright himself.Cartwright was not my shout; I answered a question regarding his defence and made a brief comment on his suitability. I trust that we have plans for someone that is NRL ready with a high ceiling.
Having said that, with Cartwright, you do get what it says on the tin. He is sound on both sides of the ball but is prone to an error (or two) per game; that could be on either side of the ball. Given the resolve we have shown so far I think is downside could be covered. On the upside, he can be freakish with the ball in hand so, used in the right way could work for us.
As I stated when it was bought up he coudl be at the right price for this season, plus one at most.
Pearce-Paul. 🤪Not far off a couple of classics
Petrol seventy cents a litre
What’s a packeta’ Sigsworth

I take what others are saying, yes a big name helps keep Ponga there....I don't honestly understand Newcastle they have been trying to get out of over paying players for the last two years and now they do this
Yeah, they’ve really got a handle on the 3, 4, or 5 letter acronym.I laughed because I don’t know either.
This generation are so illiterate, frankly it’s hilarious.
I know it’s pearce-paul of me, but I’ve been giggling at that one.Pearce-Paul. 🤪
I think one of the bloke who watches a lot of juniors reckons Tony just needs a bit more time. After all the time Cartwright has been afforded, he’s still average at best so I’m going with Tony.Forgets - or could never play much to begin with ?
But who do you prefer replacing Bird when he next gets injured - Cartwright or Tony Sukkar ?
I played with his uncle, until he went to Penrith. His Dad was playing A grade for St Marys when I left. He was recently on the Board of St Marys Leagues Club (not sure if he still is) so I have caught up with him a few times when I am up that way catching up with mates. Always has time for a chat. They are updating the player database for reunions, if you jump onto the St Marys facebook page I think there is a link there somewhere. I went to the 100 year one in 2008 and had a great time and there always seems to be someone I played with in the joint when I drop in.I think one of the bloke who watches a lot of juniors reckons Tony just needs a bit more time. I played football with Cartwright’s dad when we were 14/15 and he was the best forward in the team. Never went on when many thought he would like the older bro.
Sorry.mate, I don't think Tyrone is a NRL first grade player...
Tiny - Yes. Tyrone - No
