Missed opportunity there, strong numbers.we should've swapped Klemmer for Egan. he is far too good to remain in reserve grade. had his first game of the year on the weekend and ran up the following
80 minutes
1 try
1 linebreak
9 runs for 96 metres
39 tackles for 0 missed
Okay. You’ve taken my comment out of context
You don’t release/retire players without someone coming in.
this is what i am expecting on thursdayHow is Olam's news coming? Thought we would know by now.
Cartwright was not my shout; I answered a question regarding his defence and made a brief comment on his suitability. I trust that we have plans for someone that is NRL ready with a high ceiling.I kind of like how we have passed on these types of players.
The mentality previously was if this guy can recapture his best form, then he'll be good for us. It usually ends in disappointment.
Now we have bought guys that just do what they have always done. No surprises. I think we just stick with buying guys that will give us what it says in the tin.
Maybe he doesn't want to come to the WT's no matter what we offer him. Some players just don't want to.Missed opportunity there, strong numbers.
I expect an extension to be announced before Nov 1.https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/s...y/news-story/f5d5d0a04a64c231f43a40441f8c42b7
NRL Market Watch: Tallyn Da Silva poised to become hot property
Like star Tigers five-eighth Lachlan Galvin, rising rake Tallyn Da Silva is posed to be a hot commodity on the open market on November 1 - and already clubs are lining up to snatch the hooker away from Concord.

Talented Wests Tigers youngster Tallyn Da Silva is poised to become one of the hottest prospects on the player market with four NRL clubs monitoring his contract situation at Concord.
While Da Silva, who is signed until the end of 2026, isn’t able to field any formal offers until November 1, a number of clubs including three Sydney based rivals are expected to pounce if Da Silva becomes a free agent.
Da Silva’s long-term future at the Tigers could come down to Api Koroisau’s next contract move and whether the co-captain extends his time at the club beyond 2026.
Da Silva is currently an understudy to the premiership winning dummy-half but could command the starting hooking role elsewhere.
The Tigers are also facing a battle to retain fellow Campbelltown local junior and star five-eighth Lachlan Galvin long term. Galvin will also become a free agent in seven months and, like Da Silva, will have rival outfits lining up to secure his services.
Already, Galvin has been linked to a move back to Parramatta as a replacement for five-eighth Dylan Brown, who last week inked a rich $13 million deal making him the richest player in the NRL.
It’s understood the Tigers have yet to formally table an extension offer to either Galvin or Da Silva.
But the talented youngsters are a key retention priority for the club, which is believed to be preparing a multimillion-dollar deal to keep Galvin at Concord.
Tigers coach Benji Marshall made a point of praising Da Silva’s performance from the bench when asked about how well his spine combined in last weekend’s win against arch rivals Parramatta.
“Even the 14 (Da Silva)... I think they really got us home this week,” Marshall said.
“He only played 20-odd minutes today, but I thought they had quality minutes, and his strength is running the footy.
“When he comes on and they’re tired, that’s what we need him to do. I thought both attack and defence, he was outstanding for us today.
“Given Api is underdone a little bit. I thought he did a real good job putting in there. We’re happy with the way he went.
Despite still being only 19-years old, Da Silva’s leadership qualities have been rewarded by Marshall, who appointed the teenager as captain during the pre-season trials.
“We’ve adopted in the pre-season that everyone can be a leader at some stage in this team,” Marshall said.
“You don’t have to be the most vocal or the most experienced. You can lead and I thought Tallyn, we had a camp in the pre-season, he was really good with his leadership, and you have got to help him grow that. He’ll get better, he’s still only a kid.”
The likes of Jeral Skelton, Jack Bird, Luke Laulilii, Sione Fainu and Starford To’a will also hit the market on November 1.
While rising fullback Jahream Bula has a mutual option to remain at Concord in 2027.
Adam Doueihi, Brent Naden, Charlie Staines, Josh Feledy, Justin Matamua and Kit Laulilii are unsigned beyond season 2025.
The Telegraph just can't help themselves, if there is a Tigers story available they just have to be all over it, wow we must be a very popular topic maybe we should be flattered.
As if all the interested clubs wouldn't be up to speed with our contract dilemmas, in saying that hope we get both Galvan and TDS sorted as soon as possible.
He performed.the lowest most pathetic non.tackle.ive ever.seen.once while at the tiransDid it?
His tackle efficiency in 2024 was the lowest it had been since 2018....
I’ll never forget that. It was the worst attempt / avoid I’ve ever seen!He performed.the lowest most pathetic non.tackle.ive ever.seen.once while at the tirans
Lol maybe in 5/6 years the clicks will be unfavorable and some other club in despair will be in the spotlight and they will smell blood, not like a rabid dog more like a tick a nagging parasite,I can’t recall reading in the Tele a list of off contract at end of 2026 players at any other club…. It’s the start of the season ,,,and this is all they have to write about ?
Interesting prediction. What do you think will happen to Latu?Galvin will be extended and his current two years will be upgraded heavily, that’s why we have been moving players on…we get a few more wins on the board and I think we will see that both galvin and the wests tigers party are happy. A premiership is being built here, our window will open a lot sooner that many think.
