They've let DCE, Fainu and Humphries go. Surely they've got a replacement lined up already, just like the Roosters did.

I wonder if they're just fully committed to the young talent there. They said last year they have got their future spine locked in with 7 Walsh, 6 Large and 1 Hopoate.
I haven't been watching much to see if either Large or Walsh are ready next year or if they could do a job together in the not to distant future.

Speculation but now with Olams money in the kitty, I reckon this potentially opens the door for Taylan May if he’s interested. Makes sense.

I don't see the issue with the contract offer to Taylan.

as many have already said his durability, fitness and attitude is all unknown at this point. if he truly wants to be here with his brother, he has the opportunity to do so.

I'd say it's just his manager Wok Wright (Black Money) trying to get as good a deal as he can with us. Wok also manages Jarome Luai and with Terrell here as well as Api & Tito, I can't see anything but Taylan in a Tigers or Magpies jersey this season.

Skelton I can understand. He could hardly walk when he came off last week. I think he needs some more time for recovery. No point in rushing him back and making it worse.

My guess is he copped a big hit and his knee was already strapped, so they came off as a precaution. But then the pain subsides and he gets a scan and everything is OK, so he's back into the fray.

Watching Jamie Humprhies play like this would make DCE walking out sting a lot more.

The reason he left was because of DCE and being stuck behind him.

Pretty crazy they sign DCE for a millenium, then as he's about to leave or having second thoughts they let their two best young halves go (Latu and Humphreys), only to have to scramble and turn almost exclusively to the last-placed Tigers to pillage whatever halfback stocks are not tied down.

I thought we were over dumb decisions.

I don't care if he's missed footy, class is class. Offer him top 30 and let him work his way back, not an outright NSW cup contract.

No doubt this will cost us his signature, another club would love to take him into their top 30.

I feel like this wouldn't have been the case if we didn't have a good start. Think we've forgotten how bad AD and To'a can be.

I watched a 35 yr old Michael Jennings (Who'd been out of the game 4 years)
Towell up plenty of young blokes 'earning their spot' in recent years.

One thing I can promise you Is
- whoever does sign him, It won't be on a cup contract to 'earn' his way to a top 30.

Considering he'd been a 'sure thing' here before he'd even been to Court,
If it's not us that signs him the endless discussion on it should be interesting.

He knows who he is, He knows what he's got and his agent is well aware of the Market.
He's not going to undersell himself just because a few guys on a forum think he should,
Or a self interested potential employer tries to convince him to.
