And Kai O’Donnell the Cowboys other second rower is even worse. How in the world is Bateman starting over Nanai? Bateman has to be the worst player in the comp so far this season.

But but he trained so well during the offseason according to the cows, we can have a good laugh nowPaytem should hook Bateman. He is just useless
I have no idea how he trains well, every game he’s played for the past 2 years he’s walking after 10 minutes ???But but he trained so well during the offseason according to the cows, we can have a good laugh now
So glad they signed him but honestly what were they thinkingI have no idea how he trains well, every game he’s played for the past 2 years he’s walking after 10 minutes ???
I labelled him Jog Trot Johnny 18 months ago and nothing has changed.

It was just dumb never liked the signing too expensive, past it and too small for mine. What the hell was Sheens doing signing him for 4 years and paying a large transfer fee because he was playing poorly in the ESL before we got him.
Bateman is on the small side for an edge back rower, but that’s not the problem when you consider the best edge back rower on the competition currently is Briton Nikora who is barely 95kgs.It was just dumb nether liked the signing too expensive, past it and too small for mine.
Liam Martin imo is the best second row forward. He is not a huge man, perhaps the same size as Nikora, but plays well above his stature. Cam Murray and Radley are also 13s of smaller stature.Bateman is on the small side for an edge back rower, but that’s not the problem when you consider the best edge back rower on the competition currently is Briton Nikora who is barely 95kgs.
Hudson Young is also under 100kgs but is one of the Raiders best every week, so sometimes we get too carried away with size and not focus on the core skills that are running the ball hard, tackling hard and playing with energy.
The energy levels of our NRL team have improved dramatically with the inclusion of our new recruits who all play with high energy.
I can’t the same about our back up players which is my big concern, however Faatape who is supposedly filling in for Skelton tomorrow does always play with high energy, so I cannot begrudge him being called up,
💯 but as Rock Hopper Steve has touched on a few times and I have agreed with him, you do need a certain element of size in your team.Liam Martin imo is the best second row forward. Always exceptions to the rule V but Johnny was past it for mine when he signed, hope your right about Faataape mate pretty sure he had a stinker on the wing last season.Bateman is on the small side for an edge back rower, but that’s not the problem when you consider the best edge back rower on the competition currently is Briton Nikora who is barely 95kgs.

He did and we desperately need him to be safe under the high ball, but I thought he was a big standout for our NSW Cup team last week, he was constantly getting deep and running onto the ball at speed and was solid defensively, so definitely earned his call up.Always exceptions to the rule V but Johnny was past it for mine when he signed, hope your right about Faataape mate pretty sure he had a stinker on the wing last season.
Makes me wonder if he is the rumor that James Maloney was alluding to?How in the world is Bateman starting over Nanai? Bateman has to be the worst player in the comp so far this season.
What was that rumour ?Makes me wonder if he is the rumor that James Maloney was alluding to?
What was that rumour ?
That's good to hear doesn't sound like we have much choice anyway, Naden not ready and Staines no idea what's happened to him, what's the go with Saukuru top 30 spot is it a waste. He did and we desperately need him to be safe under the high ball, but I thought he was a big standout for our NSW Cup team last week, he was constantly getting deep and running onto the ball at speed and was solid defensively, so definitely earned his call up.
Did he actually do the whole preseason with them, bcoz he never trained a full preseason with us.But but he trained so well during the offseason according to the cows, we can have a good laugh now
No it wasn't a full off season but there was a cows interview saying how well he was training with them, notice Nanai was on the bench tonight don't think it will be long before he's replaced by him.Did he actually do the whole preseason with them, bcoz he never trained a full preseason with us.
I reckon he did his career a disservice by playing international football over the offseason the last few years. He was on the down hill slide the year before we signed him, he needed to identify that, be honest with himself, and get a proper offseason training schedule in to prep himself for his last few seasons. Now he is not NRL run-on standard, and I’m not sure he is a benchy. How many years years are we chipping in? This and next?
Anyway his manager has done well.
