I mean it's blame the halfback stuff. Which is usually crap, as when your team is tanking like Penrith is at the moment, it's more then Cleary.
Heck Penrith are missing their back row. I only recognise Tago at Center and edwards at fullback.

Unsure who else we can nab... KPP looking promissing. Canberra will struggle to keep Hudson Young, Cory H and all the depth around them. They may decide to fork out for Fogarty, and if they do we can raid the raiders.

Otherwise lets keep an eye on teams with cap pressure...Brisbane would definately be a target.

KPP on the right offloading to Bula, To'a and Turuva is a serious right edge. No disrespect to Seyfarth but he doesn't have the attacking skillset to compliment Galvin, To'a and Turuva. KPP on that right side would compliment the attacking structure we have so well. Seyfarth can come off the bench and fill in on the edge and middle. Win/win

bound to happen ,even if they kept past players from the past 5 years - being on top of your game is taxing,Last 20 years if a team takes 2 ,3 years to come out of virtual obscurity and win a comp ,most dont make the 8 next year . .Hope the woosters n manly battle 4the spoon

I think they were playing to the game plan and while it was working and they were in front why change it

1 try in 25 isn't a good investment and newcastle have scored 46 points in 5 games

He looked likely all day on the right with his ability to jink and unload. I hope we can sign him.

Looked likely but hasn't done anything at all this year - Newcastle have scored 40+ this year in 5 games an were the 2nd lowest scoring team last year. He doesn't help.

After watching this gave live, i thought i would pass on my thoughts.
We do have quite a large body team for a change but in saying that we still a bit slow.I think i only counted 3 line breaks from both teams all game which is poor, the Tigers were the only team that looked like scoring when ever they wanted to.Very happy for the win but i cant believe we can still find a spot in the 17 for BOTH Alex's.
This is a large improvement from the last couple of years, our defence is so much better and the talking on the field is all positive and all players do look happy.

I don’t think it’s his fault, there half’s are terrible, think he could be a great pick uif

Luai keeps them focussed, accountable, and the energy up - he doesn't have to star. Takes some pressure of Api and having them both there is a bonus. No doubt we are yet to face some of the better squads and are likely to face some truths but we have competed well in every game and that helps the confidence grow within the squad. We are seeing some of the real growth in players that had been treading water in previous seasons.

You don’t want him being like Nico hynes when he moved to Cronulla where every play went through him. Defences worked it out and his form really suffered

The big question is … can they can keep this 17 ( maybe 18 with Naden back ) on the field … because outside of Latu .., the rest of the squad doesn’t look up to NRL level ..

I really hope someone ( hopefully 2) can shake loose from elsewhere before June 30 …

Might be premature, but based on his performances over his first five games this season, Starford To'a must be making people second guess our need to sign a quality centre... I'll be the first to admit I have been frustrated with Starfords inconsistency over the last few years, but he has been incredible to start the season. 5 tries in 5 games and put Turuva over for a few. Credit where credit is due.

If he keeps this up there should be no discussion about who we should sign to play right centre...

Has been playing mostly better but needs to be more consistent. If a clear upgrade became available however.......

I believe his game would come ahead playing with Luai, Galvin and Fainu in the team. He seems to be a very talented player.
