Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It’s hard to imagine we would be a preferred destination for DCE, but his smarts and kicking game would make us a 10 point better team.

I mean ..the whole talk is around the Tigers offering him a deal ,,,, no talk of him actually considering accepting it 😂… he won’t be short of other offers…

It does make sense Richo pushing the button to try and win a premiership before he leaves in three years …. Hope he gets more urgent about some new forwards …

So you can win games. If he's the best 5/8 at the club, which he's shown to be, you pick him

It's much more important that the team wins game then just dropping one bloke because he wants to leave.

Dropping him out of pure pettiness makes the club seem extremely juvenile and unproffesional

Understand people thinking different as they're upset and emotional about the situation.
Tito is emotional

We really only need one genuine line busting edge back rower to complete our top 17, the others we require would only be back ups if/when we get injuries.
I’m not 💯 convinced on Kai Pearce-Paul, but I doubt there is anyone better availability for 2026 with the potential to be the attacking threat and line busting back rower we require.
When at full strength he would likely push Seyfarth back to the bench and create fierce competition for our bench rotation spots.
On form you could not possibly drop Sione Fainu from our top 17, he’s one of the very best interchange forwards in the NRL at the moment.

I'm philosophical about it. I don't think Lachy will handle - or his parents for that matter - not being glorified because that's all they have ever known. They have made their position clear and I believe that we have players that can do just as good a job as Lachy that will be more beneficial to the balance of the team and not distracted by Lachy Galvins prospective future.

I can only imagine the core playing group who openly support Benji will be extremely unhappy with Galvin, not the fact that he has knocked back a big money offer to remain at the club, but the fact it’s now being stated by his manager that Benji is the problem.
They could very well refuse to play alongside him ?
Yep.
If you watch Terrell May's Youtube there's a core group of islander boys who seem to be really tight.
Galvin tries to join in but seems like a bit of an outsider.
I can see this going very bad very quickly, particularly with headlines now that Galvin has no faith in Benji.

WTF is right ..
Not sure I like it. I can understand why Roosters did this with Cronk. They were one key positional player from buying another premiership and Cronk was happy to be that player. Wests Tigers need a 4-5 year spine combo to build the club around - first make finals, then push for top 4, then challenge for premierships. I’d rather go all in on Jerome as the senior half and invest long term in Latu.
DCE is a great player, but he’s also an aging one and while he could potentially help us win a few extra games for the next two seasons if he signed he won’t be winning us any premierships. I reckon our tilt comes from 2027-2030.

Galvin could be a top line player in the future .he has only played what 30 1st grade games .for us to offer a million a season it doesn't seem right to me .it's media speculation that it was 1 mil.id say we offered less and also have plan for the future with out him .we latu which offers more in my opinion .but good luck to Galvin. He has my best wishes and finishes this season strong for us

they need several more forwards …the first reserve on call now is Sukkar apparently… he has potential …but …..they have had a good run with injuries so far but I’m sure we will see the depth called on soon …and that will highlight the issues..

They really need an offseason for recruitment like last years but pretty much just forward focussed ..

Most 19-year old with one semi-decent season under their belt would be grateful to play second fiddle to a 4-time premiership winning half. But Galvin's belief that he should be leading the team speaks to his supreme self-belief or ego, whichever way you want to spin it.

Also, forgive my cynicism, but I don't think Galvin's relationship with Luai has any bearing on his decision to leave given how many times he asked for a release prior to Luai's arrival.

Here's my question, Galvin cant field offers till November 1, yet has already knocked back a 5.5 million dollar offer with no other offers. Even more funny he wanted to be released last year, to what sit at home and play playstation. Please it's blatantly obvious Isaac Moses has been fielding offers for a year now, let's see what the N.R.L do to maintain the integrity of their anti-tampering rules. Lol.

After watching this guy on Sunday running around like headless Chook …. Well he might as well be dispatched to the chook-pen.
He might end up being to grow into a good lock forward but the jury is definitely out as to he is anywhere near worth to a +$1M year gamble.
So for me the Club made a right move.

Regardless of his talent take a step back. We are paying him $250K this year & $350K next year. The extension & upgrade was on the table.

He has knocked it back. Fair enough.

Richo has played his hand well. They have no more cards to play. No release & no official negotiations.

If he is gone at the end of this season I bet my button dollar we will come out in front

Look at we have achieved so far.

To be fair we should be 4 & 1. Both 2 point losses we bet ourselves.

That will be just for me to let our my frustration.
At the end of the day we are taking about someone that has been given his chance by the Club and he has not respected it.
His choice at the end of day but I can let him know what I think about his decision
And will take great pleasure with the tigers beating which ever team he ends up at.
Much like how I feel when the tigers beat the eels when Moses is in their starting team.
You paid for your ticket your entitled to show how you feel, as long as your not hurting anyone.
