OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

This rubbish about Galvin's footy not improving under Benji as coach is 101 Isaac Moses rubbish when you want it impossible for player and club, coach and all team mates not to get along and FORCE A RELEASE, it was impossible for the whole club to get along with Mitch Moses when he tanked the game live on channel 9 against souths, that week Mitch was released.
How can Galvin face anyone at concord today, straight to nsw cup training and just sit on the bench with no game time

I think fair enough to drop him this week ala Cleary and dropping turuva last year when he signed with us. You can say it's to give him time to get his head together and if the team struggles without him you can bring him back claiming it as the plan. If doueihi and the team go well, no reason to bring him back. I think Galvin is valuable in our team and should be somewhere in the side. He's probably marginally in the top half of halves in the game and unless doueihi and fainu take the opportunity we'll need him. That said, if he's gonna sook and play disgruntled we will just have to play without him. But, given he's our player for the next two seasons, it's silly to rule him out of first grade on principle.

I also don't get all the angst towards Moses. As an agent he's pushing for the most money and being a bit of scumbag...sounds like he's doing a good job of being an agent. We just need to put him on silent now that we've made our decision to move on from the Galvin situation.

I think from this point forward we shall refer to Galvin as Veruca, aka Veruca Salt from Wlly Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and his dad seems perfect for the role of Veruca’s sycophant father who will do anything his daughter wants

“I WANT IT NOW!,”
Hopefully Augustas Gloop when he turns into a fat shit watching from the sidelines for 2 years

Not sure the Galvins will cope with this very well they are use to everyone falling over them over Lachy. Will be interesting to see what the reaction/response is to this.
I'm expecting some victim blaming to emerge - its not us it's them.
100%
He ain't built for this.

Remember last time?
They went in damage control and did the Sunday footy shows with all the backpedalling.

Welcome to the grub category, kid.
Enjoy the treatment.

Get a few bits of mail from time to time... anyway apparently the decision to drop Galvin wasn't Benjis but that of the senior playing group. After the SMH article came out the senior players approached Benji last night and said that Galvin has disrespected you which means he’s disrespected us and the players don’t want him in the team.
Fking love it.

If that’s the case, I don’t see how he plays first grade again at this club.

Anyone else feel that dropping Galvin for Lachie doesn't change much.
They are both extremely similar players just Douehi has a better kicking game.
Douihei is a better ball runner, kicker and defender at 5/8. Galvin is the better player however, Luai will dominate the ball. Dominant Luai is what this team needs.

The big question is do they bring in Lauilili and Naden or one and move Bird to Centre.
I have a feeling we will put a cricket score on the Eels. Sounds like players backing the coach here.

I’d play him this week and gauge whether he’s going to be able to cope with the heat and whether his teammates have lost all respect for him. Also depends how he’s trained/prepared this week. From there, you probably have more insight into the way forward.

You would get all of that information from a training session absolutely no need to play a game to see where the feelings are.I would be amazed if Galvin has a single supporter amongst the players as he has treated them all and the coaching staff dreadfully.

I give it 2 weeks and he will be gone. I'd like to think we make him see out his contract playing KOE but I just can't see it happening. Like many have said, the tissues will be out pushing the mental health card which is a huge insult to those actually doing tough, but the players association will just step in and force our hand and he will ultimately go. The only way we make him see out his contract is if he plays the occasional 1st grade game and we play his dropping from the team as "protecting a young boy from the media storm his management ultimately created". I bet a million bucks, Gus has already spoken to Galvin or his parents today to check in on him. Such a great guy Gus.
