OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

so the sooner they can cut bait and have him move on the better in my view …

Also keep winning at least half the games will also help to keep the negative media away
Thats where we are.
Its simply a $$play of $300k vs possibly a mill in 2026
We no longer need him,but require a significant transfer fee to release him early
Its all about $$,and that grub Moses disparaging Benji to achieve the result
Own goal

Nobody has heard Lachie say that either, it’s the media circus in action.
Galvin has said he lets his manager handle contract matters. I posted a link a few weeks ago.

We do have this quote from Hooper -

“Lachie’s agent, Isaac, he said ‘don’t even bother tabling the offer. We’ve got grievances with the club. Lachie’s not happy with the direction of the coaching at the club and the direction that Benji Marshall is giving him and as a result of that we plan to test Lachie’s value on the open market’,” Hooper said on NRL Tonight.

Galvin is a grub. When he didn’t get what he wanted at parramatta he wormed his way into the club to stay in junior reps pathway.

Success saw him parlay that into a long term contract bigger than what most juniors get before he was legally allowed to play first grade.

From the moment he was picked in first grade he has agitated for a release looking for a bigger contract and instant success.

Typical millennial.

Solution is simple. He is under contract for the next 18 months & is staying for his current salary. No release & no opportunity for a pay rise.

Let him play the next 18 months for Glebe, Flegg & reserve grade. Name him as 18th man regularly so he can spend 80 minutes on the bench, receiving real time feedback from the fans that pay his wages.

Any suggestion of mental health get the clubs medical personnel involved. He needs time away from the club, time away from rugby league in general (including his manager who has created much of this uncertainty) and would benefit from an in-patient stay in the facility.

Failure to follow the pathway directed by his employer is a breach of contract subject to fines.

Come November he will have a way forward when he signs elsewhere, but will have another 12 months waiting before he gets to it.

I guess if people are planning to boo the young fella for taking more money elsewhere, they will also be booing the blokes who joined our club for more money too?
Did they spend 2 years trying to get out of contracts they signed in order to get more money?

May have been alluded to and missed in previous posts, but I don't think it's any huge proclamation the attack has looked very disjointed so far this season.

Up until now, I've liked Galvin, but I do really believe with him out of the way the attack will gel a great deal better and be more on the same page.

He was awesome last year, but has looked lost this season and killed many an attacking set of 6.

Thank God he isn't getting the same opportunity to tank games like Moses did.

After all those before him have weaseled their way to breaking their contracts, I REALLY REALLY hope the club does make him play KOE for the remainder of his contract.

"Here's your $350k for 2026 Lachie. Thanks for saving us a shitload of money... and good luck with your progression in KOE."

With the details we have so far, I think it's the wrong decision to drop him.

I take it back if the whole thing about him not rating Benji as a coach or if he's been bad mourning the club is true, then it's the right decision.
