OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Didnt he say he was putting his extension on hold for at least a year to make his decision on his future so he could concentrate on his development. So why was the rumour mill in overdrive about his future at this early stage . I am sure this was orchestrated by his management resulting in the club making an early offer , and instead of taking the higher ground and letting the dust settle he or his manager play the Coach as the issue. This now means that to save face he has to accept the demotion and now in no way this enhances his product value to a new club. For all the people saying his Manager or parents only looking out for him , they have now had the opposite effect on their prodigy . I can only support the club in coming to this decision not to allow his manager to control the narrative.

I would say he spoke quite well in the quotes.

However, you read deeper into it and both his Father and him, there is too much "best for me" "my career" "my interests" "my best" etc.. I don't think he has ever cared about doing his best for the team, but moreso what can the team do for me.

As he gets older, he will understand that it's not all about him and this is the reason I'm happy he declined our $1m offer. He simply isn't ready for it as a man.

Another guy who rejected us was Stefano and we dodged a bullet there too.

CLub has handled it well. Soon, there will be some Anti club articles to balance the narrative a little, but I'm proud of how they've handled it.

Well done, Richo.

Personally I'm very happy. Yesterday aside, I'm not going to bag the kid or his family too hard, and anyone who had doubts about him at 5/8 shouldn't either. My only regret is timing as I wish Latu was fit. We dodged a bullet in lots of ways but mostly because we have too many guys at the same position and one with a massive ego which will make it hard for him to do what's best for the team. Ironically, he is right, making an early call is amazing from a cap position and also if we can harness the anger into something more positive it can have a positive impact on the TEAM.

I'm happy the players are united but don't want an RLPA headache for the club.

On 360 tonight , one of the panel said that benji made Galvin front the team today so they could know what was going on , so half way through Galvin speech benji and Richo had to call it of as his team teams where calling him out and yelling him down , so where does Galvin go now in the tigers team , the players think he is a lair and a low life

I fkn love our current team

still think he ends up at manly, they will pull the pin re fogarty and chase galvin
As for Onitoni Large apparently at the club they view him as a centre / fullback not a 6 so watch this space for another blow up with the Large family
They love Parra though.
As I’ve said before if the tigers asked me to come back I’d be there in a flush.

Pardon the pun.

I don’t think it matters if you think Benji is a good coach or not.

It is completely unacceptable and disgusting for a 19 year old rookie to trash his coach publicly, regardless of sport or even career.
True. Shows the true colours of the family. No respect or humility. He has been brought up poorly by a pathetic stage dad. Seen a lot over the years in reps.
