OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Unfortunately while ever we are at the bottom of the table and Lachy has a profile where ever he ends up this will be another break up thrown in our face and that is why the club Richo fans and players have a right to be so filthy and why we have to rise from this.
Where ever he goes there will be the professionalism and training hard culture crap stories spewing out of his entitled mouth.
I understand why the senior players turned so quickly on him because it looks like it has been egg shells trying to keep him happy when he never had any intention of committing. Who in their right mind doesnt look at 6mill contract unless they have got somewhere else to go?
The sheer arrogance of that alone can't be ignored.
I'm not sure what path is the best way to go to resolve this but it irks me that quite possibly I've got years of watching this kid thinking he is the second coming.

Galvin has suppossedly chosen to join the Eels...

Funny that, I thought he was sick of losing and wanted to join a winning club and a coach that will develop his game to a level Benji and the WT can't.

What a llad of B.S. Galvin and his family have been feeding us for the last 12 months!

I hope we smash the Eels on Monday!.
If that is confirmed or circulating around RL circles, I trust Richardson will be on to it and act.

He is off to the Eels apparently...bet your house on it... I hope Galvin turns out to be Ash Taylor 2.0

That was a shot at humour. So much for my comedy career. Matterson? That would be a step backwards. I dont even know who their 13 is. Penisini would be good.
Will Penisini is a very good player, I wound take him in a heartbeat, but cannot see the Eels letting him go.
I’d also be keen to take either Zac Lomax, Jack Williams or J’Maine Hopgood as a swap, but again I think the Eels would be reluctant to swap any of them.

Simonson as well

See the WT are in the box seat with this Galvin situation....he is NOT on big coin for the remainder of his contract, therefore unless the Eels offer us a favourable player swap on our terms, we just keep Galvin in KOE as our "backup" half until the end of 2026..hopefully we never need him in FG again...Watch his "star and media profile" fade as quickly as it has risen...BUT we all know how his manager operates, the Galvin camp will want out ASAP, His manager can agitate the Eels to put up decent cattle so the WT agree to a release.....the balls for once is NOT in the WT court to act...

Galvin and Bula schooled Penisini a month ago.

Yeah they did, he is a solid unit who always carries the ball with vigour, I think it is certain he would add some quality to our team.
I put more stock in defense in the centres and he’s shown to be suspect. Personally I think we’re ok for outside backs and we need some pigs. Unless To’o becomes an option.

I don't envisage in any outcome the WTs receiving a top shelf player via his agent. Keep him as depth for Luai and Fainu.

Slightly different angle now. We've all put the boot in, and deservedly so.

I'm just going to suggest that Benji might STILL be doing the absolute best thing for Galvin in playing him in KOE now.

Given the public backlash to what has happened- if he lined up for ANY club next week in 1st grade, the absolute scrutiny on him would be "Luke Brooks at the Tigers" level.

We all know he is going to get paid.

It MIGHT be prior to the start of next season. If I was a player manager of scruples, I would suggest to Galvin (and his dad apparently)that the best course is to play out your Tigers contract in the darkness of KOE, learn what you can- don't cause issues & let the media cool on him.

That way- in 2027, the narrative won't be on how he has a lot to live up to, but more a redemption arc of fallen player rising again.

A year and a half away from the camera would make most people either forget, forgive or just stop caring. And would remove a bit of the pressure.

If he steps into another top 17 squad between now & the start of next season- he CANNOT struggle or he is going to be pilloried.

His management team have done him absolutely no favours here. For an incomplete player- his next outing has to be Joey Johns level or he's not outrunning this stigma.
