So, no-one here cares whether WESTS Tigers play at Campbelltown or not.
Are you all hoping that all games be played at Leichhardt?
Seems that way to me.
A reaction from 3 posters who simply viewed my post as laughable, so don't care.

The reason I said what I did in the above post is because it was perfectly obvious from when I first joined in 2019, that WTF was heavily dominated by people from the Balmain side of the JV...so why would you care?

Till now I haven't seen anyone put up a fight for us to continue playing matches at Campbelltown.
Cochise and nearly everyone else on WTF put in a tremendous effort Imo to get rid of anyone that had anything to do with WESTS MAGPIES pre election time, but not the slightest strong objection to Richo currently threatening to take all our matches from CAMPBELLTOWN.

I can just imagine the ABUSE I will now get in reaction to this post as I did a couple of months ago, for taking the chance of posting from a WESTS MAGPIES Point Of View.
And not one of the Mods had the backbone to insist on fair and respectful posts at that time.

This simply shows how much bias and dislike there is on here AGAINST WESTS MAGPIES.

I posted our logical future is the South West and others did too. Have another bourbon.

Richo is trying to get some dollars out of pollys to stay there 9 games per season.

See once again you lie and it is very easily shown to be the case, 2 posts after your post I replied with this https://weststigersforum.com/threads/ceo-shane-richardson.35365/post-2086720

Completely supporting the Wests Tigers playing the majority of games at CSS. If you are going to lie about someone, please do not make it so easy to discredit your claims.

In fact, I have spoken out more about continuing to play at CSS than I did when Richo did the exact same thing about games at LO last year.

Not arguing this is all on Galvin and his management. 100% is. We developed him, gave him the opportunity, and he threw it back in our face.

The issue I had was, why now Richo? If he has asked for 3 releases already, I had heard of perhaps one to this point; then as I said, why blow it up now? Such a promising season. I get that as fans we can be emotional about our team and the disrespect, but it is a business, smarter heads need to make smarter business decisions and take the emotion out of it.

Benji and Richo were going to pick him this weekend; that's incredibly naive; it took the playing group to say no. It was always going to be untenable with the club statement.

Why didn't we work to get a favourable outcome behind closed doors with a player swap that suits us before going nuclear? If its the Dogs why not work to swap for Burton, they wont need him with Galvin and he can play 5/8 or centre (where he played for Origin), which for us are positions we need.
I have a feeling Richo has been monitoring the temperature very closely and has decided that Tigers were being strung along, so rather than wait for the media circus in November when he is free to test the market, they drew a line in the sand now - a big contract upgrade or you leave.

Definitely Tigers have been stung badly in the past being nice and hoping to convince the player to stay (or join) and found out instead they were just being used as a bargaining chip.

James Hooper is adamant today that the club told him Benji made the decision to drop Galvin, not the players, but he instead ran his decision by the senior players for feedback and they agreed with him.

Your last paragraph - don't think there is any legitimate way to work on a player swap behind closed doors. Already the offer to Galvin was being kept fairly quiet until very recently, but Tigers know Isaac Moses will leak to the press as soon as suits him and there is no chance Tigers would be able to work on a parallel deal like a trade or favourable release and still keep everything hush.

If Lachy wants out this year, which I’m pretty sure he would now, surely Isaac would be agreeable to keeping any trade talk quiet.

I’m not sure I agree with that. I don’t understand why the Tigers (Richo) and I Moses couldn’t of kept this decision under wraps and potentially allow him to play out the season, introducing Latu into the mix when ready and having Galvin fade back into a role player.
Also knowing his decision privately would of allowed the club to start looking at the roster next season and potentially court players to join for 26 as a replacement or backup.

Don't agree with much of that.

Machinations are I Moses' wheelhouse and I'm so happy Richo refused play that game.

On the contrary, he has shown incredible solidarity and as a result of his strong leadership right now the club has the strongest standing in the league I can remember.

It can be seen by the distinct inversion of the tone of the narrative in the media in since... forever:
Before this year this whole drama would've been pounced upon as yet another train wreck at the "basketcase" Tigers....

But it's not.

Also, Galvin's current deal is peanuts (and will remain so thanks to them) until November next year. They have practically nothing to lose keeping him on the books and simply either waiting on a great deal to move him on, or better yet, let him be the cautionary tale that is the very visible symbol that the days of the Tigers as a doormat are over.

In other words, nobody fks with us any more.

Also, it seems he wasn't happy being second to Luai, so there's no way in hell Galvin would fade into a background role.

Nope.. Moses and co have made this the worst kept secret.. deliberately ...
This would've been a boil on the backside of our club until the end of 26, Richo and our club are right to be on the front foot.
Now all know we arent the NRL punching bag....
And we can get on with our journey of working towards finals footy...

There’s no under wraps if an agent is selling a contracted player. Everyone will know.

I have a different take on this. I think Richo's done it now to say this kind of garbage, that Moses has done to WT before, and every other player who has wanted a bigger pay cheque and has used WT as a leverage tool, this stops now! We don't care who you are or what you think you're worth, you're not using us to get more money, and you're not making us look stupid any more. So, if you want to play silly buggers, the answer is no. Get your bat and ball and off you trot. It's early in the season. We are going well. Galvin hasn't been setting the game on fire. We've got capable replacements who are not destabilising the team. See ya, son. Off you trot. The way the team is publically criticising him, there must be more to his behaviour/attitude/something.
I think Richo new he would knock back the contract, so what I think Richo knows he wants to go asap , so while we hold him to a long contract , whoever wants him will agree to a player swap in our favour, Richo I think is right on top of this , get something out of the little shit rather than let him walk

*replying to multiple responses* all valid points.
But I don’t by the whole we should hold players to ransom thing. I’m sure there is a middle ground that could have been worked towards.
As some have mentioned we can’t directly stick it up to the manager as he has other more important players on our books still. All negotiations are a two way street. The moment you go public and draw a line in the sand you’re putting yourself out there.
I do believe if nothing was said, people, fans the like would be wondering when is LG going to resign and it would drag on into the year, I’m not naive there but it is the Tigers that were pushing him. I’m unsure of the timing but I’m pretty certain the last talk of LG was that he is indicating he is happy to stay and in the new year Richo and his management were going to talk out a deal. Obviously someone had been lying about that. I get Richo put this deal to him and the public statement to back his manager against a wall, I’m just not sure it’s had the best intensions for all.

wanted out now , not next year now , mosses will get him into another club before June 30. It may come with a player swap but I got a bad feeling we will just release him , free to walk , it could come as early as today at the press thing this morning , that would put everyone on the spin cycle

I highly doubt that.
Itd be richo doing the presser not benji

Would you really trust Mosses to do the right thing for anyone other than Mosses?
If the answer is "YES". You live in a fantasy world.

Because Moses wants him out now ..to get more money , but mainly so he can f over Benji …

Do u need glasses, because what u have put out , makes me think u can’t read what has gone on , if u want to support Galvin and Moses just come out and say it , the club didn’t do anything wrong , it was Galvin and his manager who pulled out a 7 line attack on benji , so I don’t get anything that u have said
