While Richo had been indicating that Tigers would make an offer for quite some time, why the delay? My guess is there was some risk involved with a formal offer, because of the possibility of Moses having it sit in his in tray for a lengthy period or worse still, it could have been accepted.
Resulting in a $2.5m halves pairing and possibly losing Luai in November?

This is working out really well for Tigers and their fans. I’m sure Moses would have liked to string Tigers along until November, but well done Richo for dragging out a response from Moses and Galvin without even making an offer.
We’ve gone from continually being hopeful to acquiescing which has given us the freedom to plan ahead with some certainty.
We’re already a better team for it.
Love your work Richo!
This is 100% why we we have played this perfectly. Why invest in someone who isn't going to be here and be the club he makes his mistakes, only to kick on for another club? Do it in Reggies

When is anything in the NRL kept under wraps lol. No chance of it happening, and it better the tigers being the one to control the situation than his manager, Galvin and the sensationalist journalists who don't care about the team, but about the drama and clicks on the article.

Batemans contract issues at Canberra came out the week they were playing the grand final.

Certain player managers don't care about the team, it's about the contract.

Disruption now vs round 26, if we are a chance of making the semis, is 100 times the better option.

I am convinced the tigers played this almost perfectly.
It was a post earlier in the week, I’ve changed my view since.

Its like he skimped on the corporate designers and got the local kindy to draw it.

I still wanna know how much we paid to take the claws off the emblem and shoot the magpie. Probably cost us tens of thousands.

I’m afraid having the old Tiger -but being electrocuted-isn’t turning me on.

At any rate, if we are finally heading out to discover our player catchment in the South West, the re-emergence of the magpie on the emblem in some capacity is non negotiable.

If I’m going to show respect to the emblem, just bowing at the Tiger without the magpie on it is like saluting our flag without the southern cross.

I think we should we should get sponsored by something young people can understand. Friends Only, Tick Tock , X or Grand Theft Auto.

I am thinking about the culture that Benji and Richo, in particular, are creating for our beloved Wests Tigers!!!

I then thought about our original emblem on our guernsey and I, like TSP above, am still struggling to understand why the claws were removed from the original emblem.

Let’s make no mistake, I am a WT supporter now through and through and previously, Balmain since about 1964.

In the interests of our West Tigers tradition, I would like to see the claws reinstated!!! My reasons are as follows:

1. It was the original emblem of the joint venture when it was created and should not have been changed and I am unaware of any significant reasons for the change!!

The Magpie is still there, and so it should be, we are a joint venture and, accordingly, so should the claws!!!

2. Our first and only premiership was won with our players proudly wearing this emblem on their guernseys!!!

3. Our present day coach and many of his assistants wore the claws and no doubt kissed this emblem many times over after tries scored or in memorable victories.

4. These days the “claw” is back and used demonstrably when we score tries, but sadly, it is missing from our emblem.
I am sure the players would appreciate the claws being reinstated for their try scoring antics.

5. I stand to be corrected on this reason.
I am unaware of any major change to most clubs emblems over the years gone by. Yes, rearranging of the original colours is commonplace but not the emblem!!!

Then why did we make the change???

6. In 2025, our beloved club has a team that we are proud to follow. Our Tigers finally have “fight” and stay in games and claw their way to a win!!!
Could you imagine a Tiger without claws?? No, and the days of being pussycats are over!!!

So, BRING BACK THE CLAWS in the interest of our WESTS TIGERS tradition!!!

End rant.

The main reason for the change is the NRL, directed all clubs to simplify their design for easier use in the digital space.

Saying that I personally prefer the current logo.

Something that got a little lost in all this is the cap hit Lachy would have been. Our halves would have both arguably been on overs.

If Latu can establish himself he’ll have a much better forward pack than Galvin would of enjoyed, based on his reported salary.

He's okay. James was the real deal Just we just got smashed by Parramatta. We have other problems to fix right now. I wish Richo could play still. More importantly - thanks Pacey for sharing. The podcast. With us
