LIVE GAME Round 7 vs Eels

Live Game Discussion
The NRL must crack down on players rorting the rules like Kelma Tuilagi did early in the 2nd half .He was obviously not injured in what was a completely legal tackle . When he finally got the penalty after staying down a few minutes the commentators were highly critical and commended Samuela on what was a good tackle
However when he ran onto the ball and scored at high speed 60 secs later they were full of praise and seems how the penalty was won was now forgotten
So it seems if you can put on an act and fool the officials then you should be commended ?
This was a turning point in the game !
A few weeks ago the Warriors fullback was writhing in agony on the ground till he got what turned out to be the match winning penalty who after the game said it was just an accident !
Point is - It appears to be profitable to " lay down " and win
Unless the NRL says any obvious unsporting behaviour can also be penalised or sin binned ( as is the case in the EPL called "simulation " I think )

Sorry mate i disagree a little.. We played the team running last, with LOMAX out . Parra rebuilding also, and they looked stronger to me all over the park. Until LUAI gets a half back , and a bloody decent centre , i think results will decline and we will become inconsistent, and show a resemblance of last year. Injuries look like they are also going to be a major problem. More than happy if others on here tell me im wrong.
That’s what I’m talking about
We are building a squad,
I think we all know that we need a good centre, 2nd rower and IMO
another big body Middle forward
I’m hoping like others Latu can become the Half we need to work with Luai.
What I am happy about is how the management has been working since Richo arrived on the scene.
I’m prepared to give them a couple of years to get it right.
And not judge them on old management terrible mistakes.
You hear it all the time,
Everything starts at the Top,
Which hopefully we have got that right and the rest will follow 🤞

We are missing an opportunity here. The guys don’t need to lie down. They can just refuse to play the ball.
Lying down has the HIA review involved even if the player is fine.
Just stand up, touch the spot that’s hit and wait till the replay.
That’s how the clubs that are benefiting from it do it.
You can’t get penalised in possession for not playing the ball.

In direct response to the Kelma tackle. You seem him wince the moment he feels Fainu make contact with his leg before he is even on the ground. These guys are coached to play for a hip drop penalty. Well all teams except the Roosters and us it seems.

Well that was a crap night's sleep have to admit going into this game I was confident of a win, didn't see this ambush happening.
There was one guy on the forum who seen it coming that showed great foresight, myself thought Moses was rushed back but that was not the case he made the difference in the end.
What can't be underestimated is the effect the relentless media crap had on players, a big distraction that didn't let up all week, it was obvious they couldn't block out the noise.

Man I hope they are better mentally prepared for the Sharks next game they looked good on the weekend.

I honestly think the team beat themselves early by being illdiciplined....six agains and cheap penalties always gives the opposition momentum..Benji has some work to do to get these blokes heads right and into a space where they work as a team for the team..
They did try hard to recover but they should never have had to be on the back foot to start...
Come on the ref really hammered us , and the bunker should be sacking for there bullshit calls , but we don’t really have a plan , should have ran at Moses for the 1st 20 minutes, and again we went back to one out football, apai has to do more than what’s he’s doing

But it was the bunker who said it was a penalty and on report , but the replay showed he never landed on his legs , there was no foul play

Agree that was a really bad watch for me yesterday. Not unexpected but nevertheless painful as another opportunity well and truly lost.

…… and that bloody horrible 10 minute period after the break.wow again!

Our game management, concentration, discipline, continual slow play the ball, lack of ability to defend counterattack on breakdown of our attack ….. somebody stop me please.

Our senior players all had a stinker. Perhaps with May the only exception.

Sorry to have to say this again but Benji just does not seem to get these players minds in right space during the break.

Disappointing …. Very very, disappointing. Our season is at crossroads.

RHS Moses was rushed back, but we let him play in a dinner suit and dance on our grave.
I couldn’t believe what I was watching and regardless of any bad refereeing, this is the most concerning factor to come out of the game.

You would swear that particularly in that 10 minutes after half time, that Benji must have told them to just go out and have fun.

Season at a cross roads alright, but then it always seems to be that way when the big moments arrive.

We are 2 points from equal 5th and at this point haven’t had a bye (2 points)
I think benji is telling us all
“CHILL OUT “

You have to be careful as a punter or fan for that matter not to get caught up with the hype or criticism of a team based on a huge score line. Para lifted with Moses, but there forwards have been playing pretty solid in most of their games and making metres, busts. We on the other hand have two forwards that punch the line, Pole and Hunt and not much threatening outside that, not to mention our halves conundrum which is getting clearer by the day that there wasn’t much time spent on building a structure and game plan that suits our key halfback in the preseason. This has me most worried.

Moses has our games circled on his calendar, it's like an origin game for him.
Always wanting to prove a point I don't get it was him did the dirty on us but he has a real dislike that's for sure, always lifts for our games.

I was only saying to friends and family on Sunday that the tigers will be up against it on Monday !
My friends and family responded that Tigers should win easily as Parra is not playing well. My response was this is traditional the NRL plays Tigers and Parra on Easter Monday. You’ll see on Monday that one team gets all the calls and has a clear advantage based on a narrative and another team will not. Seems like the NRL likes to have a story line play out. The tigers can’t have anything go their way. My final comments to friends and family was “Some teams in the NRL can be 10%-30% worse than the opposition and will win as that team will get plenty of good calls to help them win, The tigers are a team that has to be 50% or more better than the opposition to be able to win the game. As they always have to win against adversity and bad ref decisions” Who said life was fair., it’s nothing to do with if you are in the top 4 or bottom 4 to get the advantage. The teams to get the advantage are already decided.

Will the Mitchell Moses head high tackle be mentioned this week or covered up. If the rule is to be enforced he should have at least been in the sin bin for 10 mins with a probably penalty try against the eels. If we are lucky we might get a Oops sorry we got that call wrong from the NRL (But haha Parra has the two points)
