OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

In hindsight,
This would have been a better week to ‘rest’ Galvin if needed.
The fan interaction if far worse at Leichhardt then at Commbank.
Had his head not be in it, we would have been best placed to make a team selection based on what’s best for the team.
Despite the applauds for the show of solidarity to the coach from the captains.
Benji would of been better off being a coach and backing his best 17.

This next move now flies in the face of hypocrisy and leads to further ridicule.

Oh to be a coach.
Agree it is difficult for the coach. However , a decision was made after consulting with the team captains to leave Galvin out. This now shows Benji and the club lacking fortitude to stick with their decision and paints a dangerous precedent for other players in the team of what can be achieved by their managers ,if they put some pressure on this coach and club.
For the club's sake and they playing group (who clearly do not want him in the team) I hope we do not buckle under this manager's unscrupulous conduct. winning is important but not at the cost of club's standing. For too long we have been as the the laughing stock of the NRL. It's time to make a stance and take on these attempted weak legal strategies of Moses and his team.

I agree to a certain point that it shuts the bullying allegations down. Where it becomes s problem and I think fans will turn on Benji imo is if the golden child is still named in the halves with Luai once Latu is ready to go. As far as I'm concerned Galvins halves jersey belongs to Latu now, he is our future. The good thing is I think the club should be fine if they send Galvin back to the Magpies once Latu comes back, reason being Galvin and his management clearly came out and stated they were giving the Tigers plenty of notice to sort our future out. Part of that includes Latu taking his spot, so he can't really claim bullying, though iv no doubt they will try. If Latu is fit and still at 18th man, I will be livid. If Benji keeps Galvin in the halves to make finals this year we're cutting our nose to spite our face. I honestly think as soon as Latu is fit, Galvin gets his release. I hope I'm wrong and Richo shows were not doormats, though if we were going to release him it would be as soon as Latu is ready to step in to fill the breach.
I agree with your views except for the "release as soon as Latu is fit".Any early must be on terms beneficial to WT.

But wouldn’t the best response be to continue on as if nothing has changed, that gives the media and Moses mouthpieces nothing.
Anyone remember the Jai Arrow situation at the Titans. From memory Gold Coast were going through a similar thing trying to retain Jai and got wind he wanted to leave the club for different reasons but same same.
They offered him and his management the ability to negotiate early before he officially went off contract in Nov 1. Soon it was announced he was heading to Souths, despite plenty of early speculation that he may leave a season early he still played the following season. It can be done.
This is an example of a non power club holding firm they are still bad on the field but non the less, that decision may even helped them sign up Tino Fausuamali and David Fifta.

Do you really think he burst into the dressing room, in his sons debut year and had a crack at Benji in front of everyone?
🤣 how stupid.
You both have valid points. Is Ryles a coach? Benji has more experience in the top grade. I smell Moses every where and it stinks! As if Galvin said I want to play under a better coach. Like Ryles.

Many on this forum seem to miss the most important difference in our case to other clubs where players are leaving,is that none that I recall , bagged their coach before wanting to leave. If has apologised, which I doubt, and is made public then I could accept him being considered for first grade.
Otherwise this makes Benji look weak to the supporters, but more importantly,to the players that supported him.
