I agree but it does give us some insurance if the pressure is appliedThey’re different styles of players but I think TDS is significantly ahead of Haywood.
I wouldn’t fall into the trap of letting TDS go because we have Haywood if we have a choice.

Yeah that’s a fair call.Yes but this for 2027 - he will be 22 and if Api resigns for 2 more years he will be 24 -25 before he is the starting hooker
It should be no different to the defence force . Where as if you do sustain an injury whilst playing /serving , that injury is covered for life by the nrl / Aus government .the NRL needs to go to court and get some binding agreement that players understand the consequences, get paid well whilst doing so and they understand the dangers.50 year caveat . Your 1st n 3rd sentence is more of a present day blight on the game if its not policed uniformly across the game team v team , 1 half to the 2nd , set by set ,. That year Ivan was here and the league had a blitz on rules ,which imo the many commentators begged 4 , just as it was all coming to fruition the commentators (90%) bleated its stifling the game because most of the factions they were aligned to started losing because they wouldn't buckle .to something they were well versed in ,(think melbournes dirty tactics ). A lot of die hard league supporters walked away that year, Nobody talks about the results anymore , they just groan when asked and 3rd sentence is a negative .
In my opinion this moderate force terminology is the problem. It denies that there is incidental contact in rugby league which is generally forceful because it’s a tough sport. Incidental should be a penalty only.It should be no different to the defence force . Where as if you do sustain an injury whilst playing /serving , that injury is covered for life by the nrl / Aus government .
Lifetime mental health services for you and your grandchildren , and and all but fully binding agreement that you have signed your life away in this pursuit , and as such understand the consequences both to you , and those around you .
And unlike the defence force , these players are paid accordingly mostly .
It couldn’t be anymore apt of a direct comparison , as it’s usually sub 30 men and women doing dumb shit , to make a life for themselves . Not many get past thier mid 30s .
I get the lawyer stuff , and the “woke, outrage machine “ who’d rather watch people dancing in the fields in acid then combat sports , that drive a lot of this rhetoric and thought , but at some point much like a 17 year old can sign your life away to go shoot at different coloured men in the middle of nowhere on the other side of the world , so can a 20 year old with endless help , both within the systems that they progress in, but externally with managers and others around them .
I get the nrl is worried about the nfl , but the nfl denied and hid the data for years , it’s a complete breakdown of duty of care .
As soon as the nrl knew the data was real , they put systems in place to protect the players .
Like I said ; there’s literally nothing more the nrl can do outside of turning it into touch footy . And that sport already exists . And there’s a reason it’s not a professional sport . Because it’s fun to play but boring AF as a spectator sport .
Well done to the coaching staff on this - speaks to fitness and buying into the cause.Just whipped out the calculator.
Wests Tigers have the fourth best defence on a per game basis one third of the way through the season at 20.8 points per game.
The top 3 are Dogs (14.3), Sharks (18.5), and Broncos (20.3).
He was always a fraud, two good seasons the rest crap, hugely overrated. The decision to release Papali’i needs to be applauded, his form at Penrith has been pretty shoddy.
He is Adam Blair 2.0.....However, the decsion to let Shawn Blore go was a wrong one....how good would the pack look with him in it now...The decision to release Papali’i needs to be applauded, his form at Penrith has been pretty shoddy.
We should have kept Blore last year instead of releasing him early, but I don’t think the club could have stopped him leaving. He wanted to go to Melbourne. He is Adam Blair 2.0.....However, the decsion to let Shawn Blore go was a wrong one....how good would the pack look with him in it now...

Hindsight. Plasticine man couldn’t stay on the field with us. Good for him he’s improving under Bellamy. He is Adam Blair 2.0.....However, the decsion to let Shawn Blore go was a wrong one....how good would the pack look with him in it now...
He wanted to be a starter… we couldn’t guarantee that to him 😔We should have kept Blore last year instead of releasing him early, but I don’t think the club could have stopped him leaving. He wanted to go to Melbourne.
Probably loves him because he finally gets to have rest 😅Api's reaction when TDS scored the try -looks like he loves the kid.
He was shocking laterally in defence as well . He’s really benefitting from the storm systems , and the way they defend on the edge . I think his form hasn’t been “OMG SHAWN BLORE”, which I’ve felt Young at Canberra is the only edge forward in the comp right now playing like that , but he’s been consistent , and his halves who defend outside him are doing a much better job making thier tackles , and communicating on the edge . Which makes his job a whole lot easier . But man was he bad defending on the edge for us . There’s a reason they pushed him into the middle .He wanted to be a starter… we couldn’t guarantee that to him 😔
We should be keeping TDS and I think we will. The biggest difference i see in TDS and Haywood beside skills is Tds has that dog mentality about his game he will take on the biggest.

I think it was four injury interrupted seasons with us. Will give Latu a bit longer before anointing him.Hasn’t sniffed an injury since he was released … worst call Benji has made letting him go … they could do with him now …
Is Latu the new plasticine man ? Or has he just been unlucky like Blore was here ?
