I know for a fact that Hopgood went there for Brad Arthur. I’d be making an enquiry as to whether he felt the same about Ryles, especially now he’s only playing half a game.
I’d also make sure there was a media article, or have one of the plethora of podcasters mentioning about his reduced mins and numbers and how he’s probably not making Origin off the back of 40 mins a game because of pawa and Ryles. Then throw off with some comment of how concerned all the pundits are for his mental health and the longevity of his career and how he needs a more understanding environment.

I'm guessing no one has watched Hopgood for a while...
Taking him for free would be doing them a favour - Looks to be playing heavy to me.

Pretty sickening gould last night with moses gallen and cam smith...when the question was put to moses by weedler about how they replace dylan brown...galvins names mentioned and theyre all nudge nudge wink winking laughing and giggling about it
Its only on national tv theyre talking about anti tampering and breaching rules in a supposedly professional national sport but it just makes a mockery of the whole game

Fair call. No I have not watched much pawa this year 2.5 games to be exact, but my neighbour was telling me he hasn’t been going as well this season. I was more responding to Tom’s reference that Hopgood would not leave pawa, when he actually might do.
He was developing and playing well up to last year, so that is another reason he may look at his options. I think he’s always played above his weight and his window of opportunity in the NRL is now, and may not be open for long. I am not sure he is the answer for us right now, but at his best he would add to our team.

Think they're trying to transform him into a basic prop.

Looks heavy for sure.

F#$%&^g joke. Everyone and their grandmother knows what's going on but it's all good cause we have Png and Perth coming, N.R.L can't run a comp with 17 teams let alone with 20. Vlandys and Abdo are a disgrace. Funny and ironic it's Gallen a drug cheat, Cam Smith a salary cap cheat and Gould a degenerate gambler having a laugh about it. If I'm a Tigers player I'm running my mouth in the media about this garbage like my mouth is Luna Park. Iv no idea how players, Benji and Richo can see this garbage and stay tight lipped. They're way more disciplined than I am, I'd be going straight after the N.R.L in the media and put pressure on Isaac Moses by accusing him of having form foe getting players to tank games to break contract early, imo it's the exact same as match fixing.

Prob is if you can’t prove it, it’s a defamation risk and we all know how I Moses rolls.

People like Pus Pould, Isuk Measles, and Peter-am I on TV-Landrys are cancer to this game.

Goulds position as a GM of the Bulldogs and also as a gossip monger and NRL influencer is completely unethical from where I sit.
One minute he maintains he doesn't know what is going on at other clubs cause he doesn't work for them and the next minute he posts something with inference of stuff he knows about that is confidential. Why the NRL and other GMs tolerate it is puzzling.
And not expecting any action in relation to managers and trade window because the Bears are needing to put together a team and you can bet there is going to be money being thrown at players everywhere whether they are contracted or not. The game is turning players into mercenaries with little or no allegiances other than which jersey they wear at the time and their hip pocket and fans and clubs will be at the mercy of managers wheeling and dealing with their prized commodities.
It's becoming less and less a game for the people and just a money spinner for all the stake holders.

i reckon he is a decent player, but I wouldn’t be swapping Gal, or breaking the bank for him, and I don’t reckon he’s what we need before June 30. But if he was keen to move then I would throw a bid in.

I disagree. Now is the time to investigate with the Eels. Whilst he is a bit 'off' his best - maybe injury-related or maybe coaching related - the Eels may be willing to release for Galvin & Hopgood may be interested in a different system. If he has a close relationship with Luai & Turuva from Panthers days, it may be realistic.

I agree, Hopgood was good for the Eels last year, was even talked about being a SOO option for QLD. He has dropped off this year for some reason. We all know Galvin wont see out his contract till end of 2026. I'd take him and maybe a good junior in a swap for Galvin...
