On the Fainus, Sione has improved massively and is pushing for a starting role. It’s funny, I think at the start the club wanted Latu and getting his brothers here was the carrot to get him.

Now Latu is the biggest concern of the 3 with his injury issues.

We need to build on the loss of Galvin, not plug a hole for 18 months whilst we continue to be one of the worst 4 teams in the comp.

Fainu showed potential in that role last year and he’s always looking busted this year. I don’t see KPP being the solution there fwiw.

From the media leaks I think KPP is highly likely though. If it is him that is earmarked it will be about bringing him on and I think a KPP/Luai and Fainu/Fainu combo would be a workable pairing. Sukkar is developing well as a backup and him/Seyfarth in reggies would be reasonable depth. Interesting to see who else is coming as we could do with another prop and an eight. There is always the opportunity to grab a couple of big fellas and transform May into a 13.

I guess is will all depend on the vision for the way we play footy - but it is looking likely that we are heading towards a mobile pack that can play an expansive game.

Well David Fifita is the most explosive and powerful edge back rower in the game IF and WHEN he is match fit and motivated.
I’ve got my doubts that Benji is the right coach to get the best out of him, but you never know, he may be able to connect with him better than others can ?
It would be a big risk to sign him, but if we had a motivated David Fifita playing for us we are a significantly better team.

He was the most explosive a few years back he hasn’t been for a while now.
