Canterbury have secured Galvin 3 and a half years at $750.000 a season.
What a load of bullshit this has all been, so effectively we have to believe he and his manager were willing to accept a $750.000 pay cut.
Over that period.

Then he hopes to fluke a further 3 year contract worth 1.25ml a season for another 3 years, so he finishes with the same amount in total that the West Tigers offered.

Issac priovides all these figures so don't believe what you read mate. Even if you believe the $6m for the tigers deal, it's over 7 years (2+5), so $850 p.a. It's all just narrative setting, it can't be seen to have little lachy chasing money.

To me it would be good to sign Tyron May and Glover.

Tyrone May would be a good get for us as would Glover , but
there is also another kid at the cowboys Tom Duffy who is on the cusp
of first grade but is behind their current halves.
Its a tough call to make cause we have Latu who is next up , yet we need to bring another in
who'll most probably will want to play first grade straight away aswell.

The article wasn't about him playing SOO. It said that his invite to SOO camp was withdrawn because of all the background stuff. His invite would have been as a future blue prospect.

IMO, the $165k is a token so we are not complete doormats. It’s a face saving figure.
You’re correct re halves, but not sure about TDS, he’s our next issue, especially
given his comment about shopping around if we re- sign API.
So what should we do, play the long or the short game ?. Very difficult question when you consider how good API had been, but how much more is left in him.
And is TDS the new API ?

We have money to upgrade TDS now so if he genuinely wants to stay, he can. If he's also being bullied and wants to leave then I'm sure the Dogs will get him and the NRL will allow it.

The money doesn’t go to players. It goes to the club’s operating costs.

Right but we have another 150k of Cap this year and at least 350-400k next year gone from Galvin now. By my estimate we have about a billion dollars to spend on 10 players bc we've also let Klemmer go and are saving money on Sullivan at Souths. My guess is we'll get Dave Fifita, KPP and a couple of average NRL Mawene Hiroti-level backs plus upgrade some youngsters in the squad.

I’d love Mason to be a viable option but I don’t think he is. We need an injection of playing strength. I’d say we are 4 - 6 quality players short of a top 8 side.
