Usually, yes.The biggest reason why is because we rush them due to having a terrible squad in the 1st place.
Roster management has always been a weakness here, even during our good years.

It was never going to be kept behind closed doors with I Moses and his ‘friends’. Richo has been able to run a tight lipped ship since arriving but dealing with Moses is ‘different’ game.At the end of the day if this was done behind closed doors or handled in a more professional business manner we would not end up looking the poor old Tigers/ media whipping boys.
Do you really think Galvin's desire to join Dogs came after hearing Gould praising him on TV? Gould's media roles have zero impact. Players are receiving approaches directly or indirectly, within the rules or otherwise, not through the media.Absolute joke - released Tom Amone virtually the moment Galvin turned down the Wests Tigers offer.
My anger is directed at how he goes on about pathways and building clubs blah blah.
All NRL fans ultimately want their juniors to stay at their clubs otherwise what is the point of investing in pathways. When he uses his position in the media to blatantly oversell a young player that a club is desperate to keep to tempt him to his club and he doesn't get called our for it - then he is no good for the game.
The dogs have the same accountant as the Roosters. Moses won't be taking less commission.Am I missing something here?
Don’t managers get paid as a percentage of their players contract?
If so, Moses (who if you believe most on this forum) has instigated this whole sorry saga, so he himself, could get less money 🤔
Doesn’t the way it’s played out, now suggest that the manager was just doing what the player requested him to do?
As I said at the start - Am I missing something here? 🤷♂️
Bring back Oliver Gildart!!Now let's move on to one of the next problems on hand that is just about to cause much turmoil and gnashing of teeth on this forum over the next 4 or 5 weeks.
Who are Wests Tigers signing to fill the 2 or 3 position that we will now have vacant and need to fill to be cap compliant by the 30th June? 🤔
Richo please tell me that it is 2 or 3 quality signings from outside of our current system.🙏
More than likely it will be 2 or 3 young players with potential from our current system that see very little or any NRL time in the near future and if they do it will be a case of being thrown in the deep end much too soon, not like that has ever happened before. 🤡
Okay, I can live with it if we are signing some current players just for the rest of this season only, in a similar sort of scenario as Solomona Faataape being elevated which I think was done to free up his Development spot for someone else.
I'll live with that if it is just for the remainder of this season and we announce 2 or 3 good players from outside our system that cannot be accommodated prior to June 30 but will be with us from November 1, mind you it will have to be much more than 2 or 3 players after November 1 to fill the positions of some of the dead wood that is coming off contract.
I just have a very bad feeling about how all this is going to play out and I just hope that I am proved to be completely wrong.
It plays a large role no doubt. Having experience yourself plays a far larger role. Not saying Benji is same class as Ciraldo, it was the reason I was vocal about him being the best choice for us years ago. The analyst side of him is what drives the success. He also has had a constent with Gus by his side.
Stability & Leadership is a big influence those have been outside of Benji control until the last 12mths or so. Benji never had that until Richo despite people putting the coach hat on.
The squad at the bulldogs has been consistent for the last 18mths with small additions /youth - the right way to do things. Ours hasn’t been and won’t be probably until next season kicks off.
Bulldogs this time last year were on same points as us this year and outside the 8. The year before they had 1 more win than us fighting for the spoon at the same time.
Not saying Benji is an awesome coach, he hasn’t proved his worth yet but the difference in ecosystem is a massive driver of success and culture/teams need time to form. Based on timelines and squad structures we are 18mths behind them on simple mechanics.
No way we get the spoon this year, fact is Benji was willing to have a go and Ciraldo chose not to. The fact Benji hasn't really served a proper apprenticeship shows how even more remarkable his effort has been. He might get fired, he might lead us to the promised land only time will tell. Imo Ciraldo hasn't built the premiership leading team Gus did. Do you honestly think Tucker had Ciraldo come across to us we would be leading the comp now. It's purely hypothetical but I seriously doubt it. Had Gus not begun the process of sorting the Dogs out Ciraldo prob would have rejected that job aswell.Ciraldo had done his time as an assistant building a team up and was looking to cash in on all that effort. He likely so the job here as being too hard as the system was a mismanaged pile of dogshit and noticing another job was on offer...well the choice was easy.
Benji was niaive and maybe ignorant as well. His ego clouded his judgement.
The reult? CC is pushing for a premiership after playing finals last year and Benji is pushing to avoid his third spoon on the trot.
Yes we have to get over it and move on, but first we must perofrm a lessons learned analysis. This same mistake keeps being made and if we dont change how we do things, we'll have similar problems with Tallyn, and possibly Bula and Luai as their get out of jail free clauses still exist. The only signing we know is coming is Jayden Sullivan next year. From a Tigers point of view it really doesn’t matter how Gould got Galvin to sign with the Dogs. When you have Gould and Moses pulling the strings you can bet it’s not all above the table and legal, but he was leaving our club so it really doesn’t matter. Iam gutted all we get is 165000 dollars, but all you can do is move on…
Confident he'd put in 100%?Just a side note , Iam surprised we let Galvin walk now , with latu still injured, would we not have told him he can leave before June 30 but we need u till latu is fit to return , if I was in charge I would have covered that before letting him go , just my though , and I know it’s good just to get rid of the little pedal

Hopefully wipe the smile off his face. What's our KOE gonna go mate? Lol
So your saying the whole thing was instigated by the player - not by the manager. My point exactly 👍Seems obvious doesn't it?
Galvin wasn't running around begging to extend with us.
2 identical post inns you're in a loop mate a deletion needed lol.Confident he'd put in 100%?
Cant say i would be knowing he has one foot out the door
The thingnim getting at is we all have these views and solutions...forum user 1 has solution AIs it hindsight though?
We repeat these same mistakes over and over again.
I don’t know what more you wanted Richo to do ?Every way you cut it, this looks bad for Wests Tigers. We have a player on a long term contract, in a key spine role, on a cheap contract, who wants out and has at least two other clubs who want to sign him. And despite all of this, the best we can do is get a $165k transfer fee! No player swap! We got nothing. So Gus secures a player he has been desperate to sign, and in effect pays for wests tigers end of season trip in return. Ironically, we will probably be taking that end of season trip the Doggies are paying for at about the same time they and Galvin are playing finals footy. The fact he’s going there for about $300k per season less than we offered just makes it worse. Richo has done a commendable job as GM, but on this one, at least from a fan’s perspective, he has had his a$s handed to him by I Moses.
No you’re spot on B2TerrigalAm I missing something here?

Gould was telegraphing what he thought of him without having to approach Isaac Moses of course when he became available it was blatant that the Bulldogs would be interested.Do you really think Galvin's desire to join Dogs came after hearing Gould praising him on TV? I dont think its that simple when you are dealing with moses weidler and co...we all know moses has plenty in the media in his pocket. Why are you abusing me? If you arent able to have a civilised adult coversation and express your point of view without resorting to this crap then your posts and mine will get deleted.
Now try again, and this time put it into your own words and dont just parrot what youve heard or read elasewhere. You have zero facts, you have zero quotes, it is all hysteria.
You do not seem the type to have ever undertaken any contract negotiations for work so Ill fill you in on a little secret. You keep it behind closed doors until its finalised. Once you allow the contents of it to become public knowledge YOU LOSE.
This is how Gould has so easily managed to bend us over.
