If you step back and look at this from a completely neutral point of view, it's absolutely staggering a player who is so young, who is way down the pecking order of being number 1 in his position has garnered so much media attention over the last 18 months. He is a dead set walking headline.

That's Isaac Moses MO. He's constantly building up his clients in the media, he's the one building him up. We built him up aswell but he's the one really pushing the superstar narrative. It could build lots of pressure on him, he's going from a club paying him peanuts to play touch football, to another paying him more than double to win games. It's chalk and cheese.

Just watched the beginning of Gallen questioning Gould about Galvin. Smith and the presenter were open in their disbelief and laughing that Gould said hadn't spoken to Galvin and that it was Ciraldo who had the conversation. Gallen obviously did not believe it. Gould look very uncomfortable.

Bracey was sitting there stunned - I think he always tries to appease Gould and doesn’t like to rock the boat. You could sense he and Cam Smith knew Chammas had some valid points but they weren’t jumping in to back him up.

I was flabbergasted to see it. The amount of people who know this game inside and out, who have repped at every level and won premierships, that were talking him up IMMEDIATELY was crazy.
Mick Ennis was calling him a superstar after about 4 games! Channel 9, the journos on all shows, podcast people...Even fans on here were going way, way overboard. Gould said he was the best young player hed ever seen. Massive call from a bloke who has been associated with first grade since 1976!
If he manages to become a star in this game, considering the expectation and pressure he is under (a lot self inflicted), then you have to tip your hat. Itll be some achievement.

The problem was though, Chammas was stating widely held opinions and was talking about Gould and the Dogs like Phil wasnt there and was easily interrupted and stalled by Gould stating 'thats not true'. He needed the receipts to say you said this on this date, you did that on this date etc...
An evidence based argument would have made Gould look a right liar last night. He certainly got under his skin, but didnt deliver a knock out blow for mine.

Yeah. I can’t even believe channel 9 let the show run with that topic at all. I was very surprised to see they’d created a segment around the Galvin saga earlier in the show. And then to follow that up in scuttlebutt - I was stunned. But good on channel 9 for not covering for Gus and sweeping it under the rug as they very easily could’ve done - especially in Origin week.

Except he won't, Channel 9 will back Gus and flick Chammas. I'm sure they've already threatened him and he won't bring it up again.

I am aware of his employment position. Gould spoke about the media in a series of sweeping statements though. If they galvanise an attack, he is vulnerable.

Either way, how good is all of this:

Galvin family agitated for a release to Parra using Moses
Moses makes it happen
Galvin family changes their mind and now want to play for the dogs
Moses is left with his dick in hand after all the back deals being done with Parra
Goulds integrity is being questioned.

Its a win for the fans as we are seeing some justice in a shadenfreude type capacity. There is some delight to be taken in watching the narrative turn on those who initiated this mess.
The club though? They still lose.
Our management were played and easily beaten.
Our coach has been dragged in the media - rightly or wrongly.
Another young gun walks.
This is the 5th first grader in the past year to break contract and leave early.
The team is divided and not playing well.
We are left with only 27 players and surely everyone is suspicious of those coming up to contract renewal - especially TDS and the guys with the get out clauses...
The ego's of Richo, Marshall, maybe even Api and Luai have taken a hit
We have to start all over again training a half and the one we really want to succeed is always injured.
This, along with the SOO snubs is surely a red flag for recruitment, meaning we will possibly be back to paying overs
Once again, our club provides the drama which is usually disruptive and we're about to embark on the tough part of our draw.
