Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Talyn showed his class last weekend in NSW Cup, it would be crazy to lose him.
Why would we not be telling Talyn he will be our starting 9 from 2027 form permitting and have Api transition to our 14 ?
Maybe we have told him that. It certainly makes sense for all.

I don't care whether we're a development club or not. I want us to be a winning club. I say this respectfully, Tom, it doesn't matter if he's a Macarthur junior. He's a great prospect but WT have got to dictate terms. We've got a succession plan. If he can't accept transitioning to the starting 9 in just over a season, then he can go imo.
None of us know what the plan is at this point, and I agree with you on Tallyn transitioning into the starting nine over a similar period.

We didn't "lose" Galvin. We made him an offer and he rejected it.

Thankfully our club is smart to have a bloke that was rated higher than him signed as back up, so we weren't left without a pot to piss in, like when Moses left.

Da Silva and Haywood is the same situation. If Da Silva decides he doesn't want to stay for whatever reason, we have another one right behind him. We will be fine.
if he rejects our offer then yes we did lose him and we have lost him, he has seen more in another team

I get not wanting to lose Tallyn.

I don't think the club can afford to lose Api. Despite the age, he is the catalyst to the influx of new players. He gives the club gravitas. If the deal is you lose Tallyn as a result, I think it is less important than losing your key player (who, let's be real, is still behind a vast majority of all that is good on the field).

And if we do lose Tallyn? Go sign someone like Blake Mozer from the Broncos that can't get a run. Get another quality talent through to compete with Haywood for that future role. Let them win the job.

Last thing on Tallyn....in all honesty, do you feel we are a better chance of winning NOW with Api or Tallyn?

What about in 10 weeks? Is 10 weeks enough to put Tallyn ahead?

Because after that, it's just an off season before Tallyn is your guy. Is he going to make us better by Round 1 next season? Or do you feel Api is still the better option for now?

Launch into the grub and don't hold back. He bites like a shark. Sometimes I come on here just to rip one into him and sure enough, he can't help himself.
In all honesty- this attitude is worse.

Don't want to come across as a nay sayer, but if this is your reason for signing in, it's just making it rubbish for the rest of us.

You're right but its an especially tough time.
Honestly, I'm sure (and just read it confirmed by one poster) that people just come in here to spit venom.

There isn't enough minutes in the day to waste reading internet tough guys trying to outdo each other.

The poster who seems to be public enemy #1 still talks football & Tigers. I'm 100% in on anyone that wants to talk Tigers, regardless of if I agree or not.

the guy you back is a charlatan

I have actually listened twice.
It isn’t for me as I spend time on here and LU and as such usually everything said on the pod is something I’ve already heard and/or had discussions about days beforehand. Additionally, your quality isn’t great, and your offsider used to come in here spreading misinformation for a laugh, raising questions about credibility.
I prefer discussions on forums.

The situation with Galvin is not being analysed truthfully on here. His interview last night contradicted a vast percentage of the narrative being spread by Wests Tigers fans.
He doesn’t hate this club, loves and respects Benji as a man and as a player - maybe not so much as a coach, but he has never shitcanned him. He is still on speaking terms with Luai and all the boys. His ex CEO and coach, as well as some players are on record saying he is a good kid from a good family, yet I constantly hear and read from our fans that he is a glory hog, money grubbing, egotistical sack of shit who thinks he is far too good for this club….and his father is even worse!
This whole thing is a joint cluster-F. The club has had its head up its arse in the way it brought him into top grade and ignored fluorescent red flags, the Bulldogs and Eels have been underhanded, the NRL toothless, the management company manipulative, and the kid himself naive and immature.
HOWEVER….We have understood ALL of this for well over a month now, yet day after day after day this narrative of victimisation and “woe is me” permeates throughout the fanbase. There’s a conspiracy against us, with the refs cheating us and the NRL wanting to keep us down. Go on most game day threads and there are mentions of this within the first couple of pages after kickoff every single week, year after year. It’s tiresome. It’s weak.
This isn’t the club I have supported for 4 decades. Our call was Balmain boys don’t cry. There’s no way that saying holds true to this club.
There’s usually some common sense to your posts but surely you’re taking the piss.

“He doesn’t hate this club, loves and respects Benji as a man and as a player”

I haven’t read anything anywhere that he hated Benji or the club. He can still disrespect the absolute crap out of it.
