Well they have just let Smith go, and Young won’t be far behind him.Isn't Manu a chance of landing back at the roosters, how could they fit in Cobbo as well.
Oh that's right it's Easts we're talking about they play for unders for this entitled club, nothing to see here.
Check reynolds shoulder issues, his lack of pace and his inability to cover inside ( cruelly exploited by Cleary's sidestep in the 23 GF and a couple of weeks ago).Get ready for incoming …. If the story in the paper is true about them offering him 2 years ,… he is good as on his way …
Edit ..how are Latu’s hamstrings going? Every 3-4 games ?
Makes you wonder why they are interested then and Richo’s words of praise to the media yesterday …. Must be playing 4D chess to actually get someone else rightNeither does Reynolds shoulder issues or his lack of pace.
Who has done that ?I didn’t think what I was saying was that hard to grasp. Some seem to think it’s fine that we kowtow to the brothers so we don’t get them offside. Proof of that is worrying how the others will react if one of them goes pear shaped.
No room for Cobbo in our salary cap, plenty of room for David Fifita.
Agree we should be done in the backs now with the Taylan addition.Makasini is coming through - May is here now...
Bulas at the back.
I can think of better ways to spend the million Cobbo thinks he's worth.
May is still a big risk in my mind. Who are you thinking in the forwards? There aren't many about. He has already signed KPP and May … give me a 13 and another forward benchie and we will call it a day …
Really ? Why would he take that deal and put back his first grade experience for another 3 years and then come back to share it with somebody else.I get not wanting to lose Tallyn but Api has been the heart & soul of this club since he's been here and right now is still by far the better player. My personal view I'd extend Api for an extra year with a view of moving him to the coaching staff once he's done. I'd also extend Tallyn till the end of 2029 & workout a plan with him moving forward that outlines we want you spending another year under Api in 2026 while loaning you out to another club in 2027, then by 2028 you & Haywood can share the hooker duties with you being the starter & playing majority of the minutes.
Maybe he'd like to be the starting hooker somewhere - next year!I think it's a Riccio beat-up. I can't see anything but common sense between Richo, Benji with Api, TDS.
2026 - Plan for Api 55-60 mins, TDS 20-25 mins off bench. Share goal kicking duties.
2027 - Plan for TDS to start games. Roughly 40 mins game time each. Potential for Api to stay on-field as a small middle. Api retains club captaincy and team co-captaincy with Romey.
Simple.
Yes.I reckon we have May a chance because we decided not to go after Cobbo. Which I prefer Cobbo wants too much money and like May is a risk. But May has friends and family in the team to keep him grounded and focused. I’d rather use Cobbos money in the forwards.

Lots of chat about Hetherington earlier but has been very underwhelming for the Broncos
Why does what anyone else does have to do with Da Silva - he can do his life how he wants. If he fancies his chances as a first grade hooker in 26 then he should go for it. The TACO Tigers have shown their stripes with Galvin! It's only at WT's where youngsters should be handed the spot & not have to earn it. Blake Mozer was happy to re-sign at Brisbane (has just as much wraps on him as TDS does) even though he's behind Hunt, Walters & Paix. Harry Grant didn't start regularly being a starter in the NRL until he was 22-23 so why should Tallyn just be handed the spot? You prioritise the guy who's currently playing better & has a bigger impact on the team.
I think Kobe is still in the mix.May is a risk … but one they have minimised with the train and trial deal
There are limited opportunities of availability at the moment … like Richo is, im much keener on the still under contract players that fall out of a tree …I wouldn’t mind Hetherington, and see he is available and we know Richo was keen last year …
Need another bench forward … what about Bunty Afoa from the Warriors ? He is off contract
Think it has low probability, Young out Manu and Cobbo in where would they play them all, do they shunt another back, well they do have a habit of doing that.Well they have just let Smith go, and Young won’t be far behind him.
I think we need to look at May as a speculative signing. There are a lot of questions marks and as it stands he doesn't solve our depth problem in the outside backs. Will still be relying on Staines and maybe Naden for depth for 2026 (I've heard that the club has offered Naden a contract for next year. He also has a pretty large contract in France on the table and possibly the rabbits - he is leaning towards leaving).May is a risk … but one they have minimised with the train and trial deal

My issue with waiting for players to fall out of the tree is ending up in a situation like this year where we have 3 weeks to fill 3 roster spots and plenty of cap left over.
I would take Afoa on a minimal contract but I'm not too sure he solves many problems.
And room for Joey Manu too lolNo room for Cobbo in our salary cap, plenty of room for David Fifita.
Warriors have an absolute smorgasbord of young barnstorming backrowers in their ranks. This guy is gettable as on development deal and off-contract.I’d take someone better than Afoa if available… But personally I would prefer his impact over say Bird who has been a Top 17 player all year … of course I have no idea if WT would make it worth his while to move countries for minimal money …maybe $350 k next year and then $400k when Bird leaves the following year …Doubt he comes here cheaper than that , or is worth more money…
I would be offering Charlie Staines a deal over Naden as depth …also would sign AD as depth … there is also Luke L who I have wraps on and Makasini coming through the ranks ..
We don’t really know where May is at … they do…so it’s hard to say how much urgency there still is at the position ..if he can get back to where he was he walks into the team next year …. It’s a big if at this stage …
No waaysometimes i think he reads these forums lol
