Not sure if anyone here is going to know what Richo’s thinking …

He might have different reasons for each decision… heck there is a very strong narrative here that Richo is not even interested in Reynolds , but is feigning interest so the Broncos blow their cap re- signing him and drop off re-signing Hetherington 😂

If that were the case why is he trying to sign Reynolds?

Reynolds would be a 1-2 year stop gap while Latu develops. It's not a long term signing and there is a clear cut expiry date (either 2026 or 2027).

Api is already signed until the end of 2026. Any extension would be another 1-3 years and could potentially finish as late as 2029.

I have heard he has 3 ( or maybe 4) school age kids and is very settled in Brisbane in the dream house … there is speculation of Brisbane offering him a coaching deal too but only 1 yr playing extension

Apparently the Tigers money is more and if it is two years that may sway him to move …

Richo's son manages Reynolds off field stuff. I see this as Richos son linking us to get more money out of the Broncos as the original offer was something like 300k.

I’m going to disagree on the point about Richo’s motive ( just my opinion) … I think Richo would be playing it with a straight bat as he would be sensitive to accusations of conflicts of interest with his sons business ….Slothfield has been all over this previously

It doesn’t mean Reynolds is coming here though… for the other reasons stated ..

Also said that Taylan May’s train and trial contract had to be approved by the WT board ..

Also mentions Benji v Richo debate re Api/TDS … says they are leaning towards re-signing Api and TDS will leave ( not sure how he is getting a running update of the internal discussions?)

Hes good, can play but 800 is a bit rich on current form? With our backline looking more settled ie Star and May (form pending) at 3 and 4 future wise, maybe that money goes to a classy 13.

I think Cobbo is one heck of a talent but have little faith in us getting the best out of him.

He certainly is an uplift on anyone we have in the backline on his day. I do also think his best position is fullback which would make things interesting squad wise.

offer him a little bit more for a little bit less. Reynolds could be used as a FIFO, 2wks on /1 off. 3 byes , x amount of games in QLD etc. . , no reason for him to be at WT HQ 24/7 . No point over working him . Work life transition . Be good to have him around in more ways then one for the club

Not that keen on the Reynolds signing prior to signing with the Broncos he was broke from a really bad gambling problem.
He might sign for the two years that the tigers are offering considering his financial situation while leaving souths to head north.
I just hope we don't lose Latu if we sign Reynolds.

He almost single handedly orchestrated big wins over us and the Dogs this year, he’s far from cooked.

Gettable signings that could improve the squad- Corey Jensen & Raymond Faitala-Mariner.

Before you throw the Liam Knight hate campaign my way- not suggesting they fix all our woes. But, they offer solid 1st grade ability, extend our depth & don't blow the budget- allowing us to chase another top line talent or two.

Reynolds is interesting. Cobbo feels like a Richo "GI was the catalyst" type signing. I still think Fifita should be investigated- be it as a starting 2nd rower, #13 or just as a better impact bench forward than Royce Hunt.

I’m not sure about top 4, but we should we higher up the table for sure.

We SHOULD be sitting on 18 points now, with another 2 coming this weekend that would 20 points coming into Rd 16.

We SHOULD have beaten the Knights in Rd 1, the Warriors in Rd 4 and Penrith last weekend. If the boys had turned up in the 1st half of Rd 13 against the Cowboys we SHOULD have won that game well as.

Discipline, bad options (last passes etc Galvin was good for a few per game) and some questionable refereeing decisions have cost the team badly.
As I've said before, we've only copped two real hidings so far this year, a huge improvement on last season.
