Tallyn Da Silva #270

That fits in within the timeframe for Api's successor to be NRL ready. It could have been Da Silva but I understand other clubs approached his manager and I'm sure there are lucrative offers on the table. Why all the upset about it? He had made a decision.

A bit of a side question here … when was the last time you disagreed with a decision the club made about a player ? I’m struggling to recall it happening

Gday mate ..: should the chicken littles start worrying yet that he might be out the door?
Never said he would or wouldn't leave and nothing has been officially announced- my comment was about all the hoo-haa and never-ending worry beading wrangling that some carry on with.

Da Silva has chosen to leave. I am disappointed but we do have a pathways system in place and another very good young hooker in the lower grades.

The club has the entire picture when it comes to management of employees. We have API and imo the club has pulled the correct lever.

The club has prioritised Api( for a further 2 years from 2027 ) over TDS …correct that they have more information than us and people get paid big money to get decisions like this correct ..

In your opinion the club has “pulled the correct lever” … we won’t know either way for a year or two at least…

The club has demonstrated on a number of
previous occasions though that they often get calls like this wrong … we live in hope this time .. but the odds given the players ages don’t appeal to me

Having watched Da Silva come through the Wests system over the past half-a-dozen years, the kid is absolutely top shelf. IMO, the club has made a diabolical decision.

In the years to come, many a hearty laugh will be unleashed by opposition fans as they recount in mocking disbelief how NSW Blues superstars - Lachlan Galvin & Tallyn DaSilva were way back when, allowed to wander away from the Wests Tigers 🥴🥴

I suspect you could be right … lot of people here could have some amnesia down the track over this, because most now support the club … this situation is different to Galvin… because Galvin was always out the door before he played his first NRL game at WT the way things played out ..,

What’s this innuendo you are peddling mate ? Smells like absolute butt hurt BS to me that someone is feeding you…: he has got 4 clubs chasing him apparently .. are they not put off by what you are supposedly trying to sell ?

Sure your source didn’t get mixed up with Schuster ?
Nah mate.

But happy for anyone to leave it on the table if they aren’t happy.

There is no agenda. I am a supporter of tallyns.

Situation is just a lot messier then most realise.

Mm

No agenda … but he has been here for years and we only hear something vague now because looks like he is moving on …

Ok … I’ll leave it at that
Yeah, correct mate.

I heard it a few weeks ago, just before he was dropped to Reggie’s and I was uncertain how it would all play out.

TBC, it would be a mix of both wanting to start, coupled with the background stuff that has made it a lot messier.

Either way, it’s a shame to lose him imo. Plenty of talent and will have a long first grade career.

There’s just a lot more to it, then a simple pick me over api if that makes sense.

Dropped to Reggie’s but picked this week though … did they get over the problem then ?

Tom it is not a argument or beef with Benji or is it like the cancer that just left the club. i know a bit but will not say because i do not know if it is 100% accurate,

The way 9’s have been handled at this club the last 10 years has been awful. Liddle, Simpkin and TDS all at one time were earmarked as the future. When Liddle left, it was okay cos we had Simpkin. Then Simpkin left and it was okay cos we had TDS. Now losing TDS is okay cos we have Haywood. So my confidence in Haywood isn’t too high based on recent history.
Don't forget the Wobbie saga and all the dramas that caused us.

Like I said earlier .. the timing is interesting in regards to a player who has been here for years … take it with a grain of salt IMO

Much better to leave it vague so people can use their imagination rather than saying he is on the outs because he had an argument with Benji
Makes it sound like he was promised more playing time by Richo but Benji doesn't want to take the risk during games. He did for a few games and then turns around to Richo and says "see, it didn't work out".

And the whole line on Friday that he wanted to play Api because that's who gave him the best chance of winning...you still lost! How would you know what TDS would have done/ wouldn't have if you don't play him.
