Apparently mediation hasn't work between the club & Jordan/solicitors so all likelihood heading to court. I think Buzz or Weidler reported this.where is Jordan miller now?
He has a lot of potential he just needs to drop 10kg and get his fitness right
In Miller's case should we have let him go in hindsight you would say yes but when he was re-signed there were other clubs wanting him bumping up his price.Be easier to swallow if it's not what we've been doing

The culture of biding your time and putting the team first. What about TDS doesnt fit the culture? There was some feedback coming out of the club in preseason that he was outstanding. Leadship camp included. They wanted to re-sign him.
I can understand him wanting to sign elsewhere. I also can see why the club preferred Api. Tristan Hope as the back up for the rest of the year and possibly next is simply not good enough though. The squad, which is already shallow, now lacks even more depth in one of the only positions we actually had depth. There was no incentive that I can see for releasing Tallan this year, except hand-wavy reasons re culture.
I didn’t read it like that at all.
Richo was saying if Tallyn stayed, he was going to play NSW Cup next year and would have had to take a pay cut for the privilege.
“Unwilling to do the hard yards” had nothing to do with it.
Club opted for Api,
and Tallyn was shown the door ...
The culture of biding your time and putting the team first.
He clearly doesn't want to put the team first, he puts himself first. He wants a big deal and he wants to play first grade. He's clearly not ready for first grade week in and out.
We have one of the best rakes in the comp, nobody can argue against it, and Api throws himself 100% into everything. His behaviour and his actions and his words are all modest and club-first. Api is a leader and he's done it all - rep footy, premierships at multiple clubs.
TDS doesn't want to continue to develop behind Api. That is a selfish move. I understand why he wants to do it, but like Galvin that is all "personal brand" first. TDS has not achieved anything, he's the backup hooker at the 3 x wooden spoon club.
I'm not saying TDS is a bad person, but Tigers are desperate for a few years where the players focus more on coherent football and gradual improvement than their personal metrics and personal branding. The issue with trying to retain all these juniors is some of them get huge ideas because they dominated the local comp, then they get highly impatient. We gave Galvin an early opportunity, earlier than other clubs would have given, and he's used that to agitate to move to a better-performing club. TDS has now done the same thing - been given some decent opportunities, played OK, then leveraged that to a big deal with a desperate Sydney club.
Those mentalities will not help us improve over time. I have much more respect for the guys like Api, Turuva, Luai who don't talk themselves up, don't cause trouble and dissent within the club because of their personal ambitions, go out there and give 100% every week and bleed for the club. That's the right way to build.
It's a bit lazy IMO to say Roosters are pro and Tigers are not, based on recent events. They are professionally run. Unlike WT who find every way possible to f..k up the club. There is no vision for the future despite all the so call plans.
Not sure why anyone cares the order of things? Either he stays or he goes, why does it matter who says it out loud first?https://www.parraeels.com.au/news/2025/06/30/parramatta-eels-sign-tallyn-da-silva/
Poor from the club to let Parra announce it first whilst we haven't received any communication from the club.
I respect your opinions but you are looking at it in isolation and like a lot of other times, you are being too "pro-Club" with this. The culture of biding your time and putting the team first.

There’s been plenty of noise this week from so-called “Wests Tigers fan pages,” podcasts, and media outlets lining up to take a swing at Shane Richardson and Benji Marshall over Tallyn Da Silva’s release. Apparently, some people think one promising young hooker being granted permission to explore options elsewhere is the latest in a long line of Tigers stuff-ups.
Let’s be real, if you’re melting down over this, you’re either not paying attention to the club’s long-term strategy or you’re just looking for something to whinge about.
Here’s the truth: Apisai Koroisau is still playing elite-level football. He’s our captain, our general, and arguably our most consistent performer. You don’t force a future Hall of Famer out the door just to rush through a kid with potential. That’s exactly what Souths did with Adam Reynolds back in 2021, and how did that work out?
Let’s rewind for a second. Souths had their heart and soul in Reynolds, a leader, a premiership winner, and a big-game player. But they got spooked by his age, fell in love with potential, and backed Lachlan Ilias, a junior with wraps but far from ready. Since then, they’ve been stuck in neutral while Reynolds took Brisbane to a Grand Final. That’s not “building for the future”, that’s tripping over your own feet.
Now, some Tigers fans want to repeat history and move on from Api to fast-track TDS? Sorry, but no thanks.
Instead, the club has taken the smart route. Tallyn Da Silva is a talented player, no one’s denying that. But Jared Haywood is just as good, and in many ways, he’s a better fit. He’s about 18 months behind TDS in development, but his game is tailor-made for the modern dummy-half role. His service is razor-sharp, his footy IQ is through the roof, and his play style mirrors Api far more than TDS ever did.
Haywood has had a breakout 12 months:
• Captained the Balmain Tigers SG Ball Cup side
• Took Patrician Brothers Blacktown to the Schoolboys Grand Final
• Earned selection in the 2024 Australian Schoolboys squad
• Featured in the NRL Pre-Season Challenge
• Signed his maiden NRL deal through to 2028, joining the Top 30 in 2027
That’s not just talent, that’s a foundation being built the right way.
So let’s call it for what it is: Shane Richardson and Benji Marshall made a calculated call based on football smarts, not emotion. Richardson extended the better long-term option. He put his trust in Benji, a premiership-winning half who understands what kind of hooker best suits his spine, and Benji picked Api. The same Api who’s delivering on the field, week after week. Not a single supporter with any footballing brain would be pushing to move him on right now.
If you’re genuinely backing the club, you’d be celebrating the Haywood extension. If you’re serious about development, you’d see the logic in giving a kid like Jared the chance to grow under one of the best dummy halves the game’s seen. And if you’re still moaning about Da Silva being released, then you’ve clearly bought into hype over substance.
This isn’t another Tigers misstep. This is a club that’s finally doing something rare, planning for the future with a bit of foresight.
The reality is, the club can’t keep everyone. That’s just footy. Holding onto TDS would’ve meant stalling Jared Haywood’s natural progression into NSW Cup, and when you’ve got a kid that talented knocking on the door, you don’t slam it shut. You open the path, back your development system, and trust the process. It’s not about picking favourites, it’s about managing a squad properly and making sure the next in line is given the space to grow. That’s exactly what this move does.
So here’s some advice for the “supporter” pages and talking heads firing up on socials: either get behind the vision or get out of the way. Because if you’re still using Da Silva’s exit as a stick to beat the club with, you’re showing your ignorance, not your insight.
Also, if you’re taking anything you hear on Triple M as gospel, you’re slower than a snail on sleeping pills. Half the blokes on there are either stirring the pot for clicks or haven’t watched a full 80 minutes of footy since 2010. They’re paid to spark outrage, not offer insight, so if you’re forming your opinion based on that circus, you’re already behind the eight ball.

Yeah that's right. Most angst is about us rolling over at the very first sign someone might not be happy and handing good players over on silver platters without replacing them.Blah blah blah…
Most of the criticism I’ve heard this week is around the decision to let him go immeadiately… it’s not about re-signing him instead of Api
Exactly, who we gunna have as run on hooker this week a reggies lock or a reggies journeyman giving it his last crack. Hopefully there’s a plan and it’s a good one.Blah blah blah…

It won't be long before Haywood is starting in NSW Cup. He'll probably start this week. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets a run off the bench on first grade later in the year.Exactly, who we gunna have as run on hooker this week a reggies lock or a reggies journeyman giving it his last crack. Hopefully there’s a plan and it’s a good one.
Recruiting Sexton is exactly what Phil Gould wants, to assist with the Bulldog's cap and to annoy Fainu in the hope he joins the Dogs.
You’re missing the point.
Do I want him or to help the bulldogs no.
Is Latu ready and should we put all our eggs into the basket - thats very high risk atm.
But if Richo/Benji view we need an experienced half for 1-2 years (which they have clearly indicated they want) if we take our biased blinkers off Sexton for that period is the best performing option running around.
Lots of words but not a single point that justifies the decision to let him go right now (rather than at the end of 25) and give up on the current season at the end of June.Credit for this one goes to Lincoln Hudson on Facebook. Couldn't agree more.
