Not sure why anyone cares the order of things? Either he stays or he goes, why does it matter who says it out loud first?
If you can't see an issue with this then I don't know what to say. It's called professionalism.

They let him go as they want to save the money. It doesn't make sense to keep him for another six months minimum and have him play reserve grade, when they can let him go now, save the money and promote Haywood to NSW Cup.Lots of words but not a single point that justifies the decision to let him go right now (rather than at the end of 25) and give up on the current season at the end of June.
Everyone is saying Haywood’s better but if we let Haywood go and kept TDS they would say the oppositeTDS wanted to stay - as much as the media want to make it out that it's another failure of the club, another player who can't wait to get out, it's not true. The club made a decision for the future and while it make things a litter tougher this year, things would be tougher next year if they held on to him as they make then lose Haywood who's better.
i don’t get the silence part abt api re-signing and starI reckon they are front loading APIs contract this year... Hence why TDS leaving now works for us... And sets us up for a big 2026
It could be just a matter of getting books in order. They wouldn't have let TDS go without the commitment from API.i don’t get the silence part abt api re-signing and star
surely club could use some good news lol
Probably an announcement prior to the Titans game.i don’t get the silence part abt api re-signing and star

I heard that there's a benefit to the club in the management of their salary cap, extra $$$ this year and next to better spend across the roster.Lots of words but not a single point that justifies the decision to let him go right now (rather than at the end of 25) and give up on the current season at the end of June.

If they botch the Api deal that would be Pascoe-esque.i don’t get the silence part abt api re-signing and star

And the sad reality is our club probably needs to make those sorts of decisions that equate to 100K whereas our competition don’t. That’s the main disadvantage we have. It’s been obvious for years and Richo has stated it many times, we need to improve the bottom line.Supposedly he was on $250k this season increasing to $400-500k next … so letting him go now saves about a $100k
Next year is a different story … but they could have still chosen to let him go at the end of the year

There’s so many examples I won’t list them all but when you’re moving stadiums for a few thousand extra corporates, sacking barbers and employing volunteers for game day, you’re on struggle street. Last CEO tried to smother it, Richo has been upfront with us.I don’t buy it mate … they have more money than they can spend left on the cap …a $100k is changing nothing there
The problem is spending money outside the cap …
Based on Richos experience as an NRL administrator.. he knows what he is doing..Gut feel?
If you try and clean up every mistake they are making you are gunna be a busy boy…
Mop and bucket to aisle 7

I'm finding alot of fans cant grasp how poorly run the tigers were before Richo came on board and the enormity of the problem he's trying to fix. There’s so many examples I won’t list them all but when you’re moving stadiums for a few thousand extra corporates, sacking barbers and employing volunteers for game day, you’re on struggle street. If they botch the Api, deal, Api will be the villain, and once again the club won’t have to take the blame. Just another ungrateful player to add to a long list.If they botch the Api deal that would be Pascoe-esque.
