Does anyone know when he available for first grade. Do you think he will be picked straight away?

Think he turns 18 in July
Not sure we asked for an exception...Easts got same for their Rugby bound star centre..but thats Easts
Kids big enough to play firsts, but like others happy to bring him on slowly

Makasini could probably cope with playing first grade physically, he is a big lad. As much as I am keen to see him play I do hope they do not rush him in. Mid next season at the earliest. I would guess this is why I heard a rumour that Richo is looking for an older more experience centre, probably to cover for a season before big Mak is ready and not block his progression.

Please no let the kid properly develop his game does not need to be rushed this year.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

These kids (and their managers) want everything now. Otherwise, a release request is on the way.

I don't know much about him other than from here or the podcasts. I do though know that some kids can make the jump and others not, with say Matamua and Galvin recent examples at WT.

Either way, I could accept him getting a cameo run late in the season, but no more, as him having a full off-season and playing both trials is the best approach for mine.

Controversial opinion but I believe he'll end up in the second row.

He's a big guy almost impossible to stop with some early ball I've seen a few instances in defence where he's beaten 1 on 1 by smaller more agile player, this will be exposed at NRL level. His decision making will improve but it's hard to improve the agility side with his size.

Anyway, I think he'll be a star either way and this move is likely a year or 2 away if it happens.

You gotta love Wests Tigers fans 🤔

I’ve been watching big Mak come through the Magpies system for three or four years now and yes, he’s a genuine talent.

But to hang the clubs future on a kid who this weekend is lining up to play his first ever game against grown men ... that’s desperation personified 🤣

Your comments shouldn't be directed at fans. It wasn't fans who stated this:

"Heamasi is as talented a kid as I’ve seen in my 30 years of working in rugby league, and I don’t say that lightly."

"He’s special. He’s a major part of what we’re doing moving forward. Benji has a huge rap on him. He’s not only a magnificent athlete, but he’s a really humble kid from a great family."

"We’ve signed him until the end of 2028. You have to see him with the ball in his hand to appreciate what I’m saying. There’s no downside to him at all."

I'll let you guess who these quotes are from. 🤔
