sorry mate, it was a joke made in jest. basically saying like two of our most promising juniors in Da Silva and Galvin he'll be allowed to leave with nothing coming in return, because it's the Wests Tigers way.
I apologise, junior development is a sensitive issue😁.

Hiring coaches first is putting the cart before the horse. It's the reason this club doesn't progress and young players either feel, or aren't actually developing well. Doesn't matter who the coaches are. The system they operate within is flawed.

GM Football
GM Development/Coaching

They are the two positions you need with rugby league admin and coaching experience. Even though Richardson might be fulfilling some of the GM Football role at the moment, I doubt he has the time or experience to develop the nuts and bolts of a development program.

The two individuals in the roles above develop the program, they make decisions on which players the club recruits, and which grades they train and play, and then they can hire recruiters and coaches with a development mindset to execute their plan.
Don’t we have Matt Betsy employed currently doing both?

I watched the Western Suburbs Jnr Rep teams and have done for decades. Anything you need to know, just ask 🤷‍♂️
Give us your top 5 prospects currently under 20 years of age coming out of the Wests Magpies pathways and still currently in the Wests Tigers system ?

For those that have had the patience to sit through this grades games; how has the progression of Hope been? Are we likely to get a better showing than his NRL debut in round 1, not that it was a terrible debut but obviously TDS and other have been preferred since.

He has progressed well.
He has shown he is a very confident high energy player, I thought Talllyn showed a little bit more natural talent, but Tristan is a tough seasoned professional and I am very confident he will surprise many in how well he will play on Sunday.

Five, that’s tough. Can I pick ten ?
Off the top of my head ...

*Heamasi Makasini - a standout at left centre
*Tino Tavana - lightweight winger, deadly under high ball
*Pheonix Godinet - classy back rower
*Riley Oitmann - gotta love fast feet
*Sione Havea Jnr - promising ball playing back rower
*Jake Gaffney - front row prospect
* Lorima Cosgrave - was a hooker, now a prop, all footballer
*Christian Tapau-Moors - athletic middle
*Byronn Laupepa - consistent back rower
*Solo Saukuru - powerhouse centre/back rower

Of these which ones have the body shape ideal for their playing position
Cheers in advance

Not sure how relevant to success “ideal body shape” is.
But I guess - Havea Jnr, Cosgrave & Laupepa are shortish and stocky.
Tapau-Moors is taller and will fill out to be an imposing prop
Makasini is built more like Meninga than he is Steve Rogers
Oitmann and Tavana are in the whippet class ... 🤷‍♂️

Good summary B2T. I reckon Tavana has filled out a bit from last season & I think we'll see a more solid version next season too.
