We take one out hit ups more than any club in the NRL.It's weird because we know our pack can be capable, and we know our backs can be capable... but one always disappoints the other.
because we cant string 3 passes together is just part of itWe take one out hit ups more than any club in the NRL.
It’s very boring, predictable and opposing clubs know no they can compress their defence to physically dominate is as we have no speed out wide or on our edges to really worry them either.
The only time we look half decent is when we have a 1st receiver digging deep into the line which does not happen very often.
We are very predictable and easily handled. Our 4th tackle options are always a forward to hit up to try and get a quick play the ball (but we never do). We always play one of the ruck - trying to get a roll on I imagine but always lose the wrestle. Agree about having a first receiver that can direct our attack. We take one out hit ups more than any club in the NRL.

Agree with what you said, however with Doueihi even in the halves last week he seemed to be receiving the ball flatter and faster at the advantage lineBoth halves were poor today.
Our attack always looks much better when we have a first receiver digging in and getting across the advantage line fast.
It worked from an attacking point of view when Latu has briefly played that role, it has looked ok in glimpses with Bird playing that role and looked much better today once Doueihi played that role.
We don’t have enough speed or creativity in our team to be able to afford a 3rd prop such as Twal playing 13.
I realise the theory is playing a 3rd prop at 13 as an extra big body, particularly when defending, but it’s stunting our attack, making us predictable with far too much one out running which is farthest for our opponents to condense their defence.
What are your thoughts on what is going wrong Snidest ?
Yeah API was terrible today. His service was as slow as hell.Agree with what you said, however with Doueihi even in the halves last week he seemed to be receiving the ball flatter and faster at the advantage line
I'd say you're way off. I'd assume we have at least around 2 million still to spend. This is it. We will be keeping $$$ up our sleeve for Taylan May if he shows what we believe he can. I'd imagine he will go on a $400-$450k contract for next season if that's the case.
So then with our remaining cap we won't be able to afford a Josh Papali'i or anyone else over $500k unless 1 of 3 things happen -
1 we get Royce off our cap somehow,
2 Souths agree to pay at least 50% of Bud's contract or,
3 we can frontload a few hundred K this season.
Realistically we be looking at a 2 x $400-$500k players (1 being Taylan) and then a host on close to minimum deals.
My reasoning is in the Salary Cap thread.
It's a worryYeah API was terrible today. His service was as slow as hell.
Can’t wait to see how good he is playing in 2028….
Yeah and compare that to TDS today, chalk and cheese.Yeah API was terrible today. His service was as slow as hell.

Actually that’s on our backs to get us out of trouble, if the forwards have to get involved in our own half the backs haven’t done their job. Defensively the forwards were poor in stopping their backs in their half. But I’ve said this in earlier games and it’s a constant with WT teams. The only way we can get into a good attacking position is through repeated possession I.e a penalty or a 6 again. We were kicking inside our own 40m most of the time.
We were outmuscled and that’s on the forwards. Simple as that.
He has an elite short kicking game too. Needs to improve long kicking game no doubt though.Unfortunately I’m not seeing him to be as good a player as Scott Prince …I think what we get with Luai is defence, attitude and holding others in the team accountable… he needs to get back to that now., also has gotta quit the dumb penalties
Better than Da Silva.Yeah API was terrible today. His service was as slow as hell.

Better than Da Silva.
Douehi is perfect in that role in attack, unlikely he will be able to defend well in the middle for 80mins, how do we solve that problem ?He started to dig into the line once Doueihi moved into the middle and created some half chances. It appears he needs that Isaiah Yeo type lock to help him
If all the players buy in they would go well. Titans have the players to suit their style too imoThe Walker brothers want to coach the Titans. I would love to see that happen.
If they managed to turn the Titans into winners that would be the best thing that could happen to the game.
The best games I've seen this year have all been in Super League. The NRL is such a robotic bore that the Walkers would be fantastic for the health of the game.

He has failed in all his preferred positions (fullback - 5/8th - half - centre) so let's weaken our pack to accomodate him....?Not so sure about “perfect “. … we are projecting how AD will go at 13 based off a 20 min stint at the back end of a game when the opposition was already well in front and trying to coast home …
Let’s pick him a few games and see how he goes in the position from the start of the game when the opposition has had the opportunity to game plan for him… Im not saying it can’t work .., but let’s see him do it a couple of games first
