Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He started to dig into the line once Doueihi moved into the middle and created some half chances. It appears he needs that Isaiah Yeo type lock to help him
Douehi is perfect in that role in attack, unlikely he will be able to defend well in the middle for 80mins, how do we solve that problem ?

The Walker brothers want to coach the Titans. I would love to see that happen.
If they managed to turn the Titans into winners that would be the best thing that could happen to the game.
The best games I've seen this year have all been in Super League. The NRL is such a robotic bore that the Walkers would be fantastic for the health of the game.

If all the players buy in they would go well. Titans have the players to suit their style too imo
Robotic 💯 agree with you- Penrith versus the dogs must of been like playing against a mirror

Not so sure about “perfect “. … we are projecting how AD will go at 13 based off a 20 min stint at the back end of a game when the opposition was already well in front and trying to coast home …

Let’s pick him a few games and see how he goes in the position from the start of the game when the opposition has had the opportunity to game plan for him… Im not saying it can’t work .., but let’s see him do it a couple of games first

He has failed in all his preferred positions (fullback - 5/8th - half - centre) so let's weaken our pack to accomodate him....?

The mental gymnastics required to justify selecting this proven liability anywhere in the 17 is astounding!

The question is how do we fix our lacklustre attack and start winning games ?
Benji doesn’t seem to know, nobody seems to know ?
If we can get our attack looking half decent without Doueihi everyone will be happy, but there’s been no evidence of it over the past 3 games in particular.
We want to play blame on players such as Twal and Seyfarth, have a look across all 17 NRL clubs and it’s clear to see almost every club has a few players in their top 17 that would not do any better if they were playing with us.
Ben Taity is the latest career NSW Cup players head to the Brincos and do a job for them, is he any better than Twal and Seyfarth.
The high profile, highly paid players are the ones who are supposed to be providing our attacking spark, not our lower paid toilers.

Purely from an attacking ping of view, do we or do t we generally look clunky and lacklustre?
It’s not new, it’s been happening for most of this season and have looked much better with Doueihi in the halves or playing 1st receiver.

Without a doubt they are still clunky … but let’s not get carried away about them “looking better “ based on 20 mins for the reasons I already raised

maybe it’s down to have different halves combinations every week
Our halves looked like fish out of water for most of yesterdays game and only started looking decent when we had Doueihi playing as a 1st lot receiver getting over the advantage line quickly and creating time and space for them to play.

After the game was over…. They also changed the game plan and moved away from the conservative one out hit ups

I think I’ve posted many times that his best position is at another club.
But I can tell you from a betting pov he makes a lot of my multis as a try scorer bcoz he is such a ball hog. I rarely pick a winger outside him unless I feel the opponent is weak on that wing but has a strong inside men, almost forcing Doobs to pass to his open teammate.
Whereas the other side has been great, Star has been unselfish, looking to engage the line with a strong run, then draw and pass to his winger like all good centres he should. I have won a couple of multis this year on their combo. So as soon as we get a left winger that passes the ball, betting will be slightly less predictable, therefore so will our team.

id love to see them do it but I just have a feeling it wouldnt go well, the titans are a decade long failure which is a huge job for them

saw this X for all the doomsdayers :

Only 3 teams this year (After 16 games played) have had a combination of more wins, less losses, better for and better against than after 16 games from last year.

Canberra, Warriors and Tigers.

Two steps forward , one and a half back … I hope you are a young man, because it’s still a long way to the promised land ,,,I’m not unfortunately
