OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

We need a gun besides Luai to have a great combo , Latu is not up to it , he again was lost all game just a passenger same as last week , we should have went after the raiders bloke manly got for a great deal , can’t keep replying on maybe , we don’t have the talent still
Sorry to say this because the guy puts in huge minutes but Terrell May stops at the defense and his tackles take so long before he plays the ball. This really slows down our ability to get the other team in the back foot and play against a retreating defence.

Then add Sukkar and Seyfarth hitups and Doueihi makes yards, but slow ptb again and we get dominated in the ruck. It all compounds on itself.

Luai was never the line breaker or try assist man that we thought. His stats are similar now to when he was at Penrith. You could have looked and seen this coming from before he came.

The forwards, however are the biggest hindrance to us winning more games. We need Fainu back and another top line back rower and we need May to stop stat chasing and just hit his front and get a quick ptb.

Good call!

Speaking of shoulders...

Watch the pre-game warm-up in the sheds and Terrell is paired with Doueihi on the tackle pad

Terrell holds back momentarily before shoulder impact - and this is a pad FFS!!

Taylan could teach him a thing or two!

We have too many arm grabbers - and Fonua is starting to adopt those bad habits!

Need to cut the toxic rubbish playing 13 loose now - because low energy and effort is contagious!

Luai had Yeo and Fisher-Harris around him keeping him in check and driving Penrith forward, at Wests he does not have those types of players/leader. Romey yes is a good player, but he is so far away from been a top player it is not going to work for us.

The stats indicate there were 15 other Tigers with slower PTB speeds?
That kinda indicates that May and one other were quicker than the rest of the team?

All our forwards play the ball slow.

Not just Terrell May

Ref's are to scared to call it.

It's always funny reading these threads and seeing the frequent take away being that it's actually the Tigers fault Luai is underperforming because we haven't given him a team full of SOO and international players capable of winning 4 premierships, rather than him maybe not being that good.

Brooks 2.0. Honestly, at the point where I might actually prefer Brooks because he was cheaper, a local junior and didn't constantly give away stupid penalties.

I think it just shows what it’s like playing in a poor system. Look at Brooks. Found his niche at another club, playing a role that he should have played for a decade here, and he’s looking like he might play finals two years in a row. And we are still wallowing.

When Luai had a stable spine and halves partner (Galvin) he was doing alright. We were winning and no one was complaining.... Things changed, there's been SOO, injuries, suspension and players leaving...

Right now the attack doesn't look good at all...

But they haven't exactly had alot of time to build out their combination... Infact I don't think we've had a game with Bula, Luai, Latu and Api yet, have we?

LIke they played the first 5 games this year...fast PTB's and actually bend the line

I know Luai does so much for the culture off the field, blah blah blah but if I'm a young guy or team member and he serves up average performance after average performance.

What are going to think of him, no matter how hard he trains and so on.

Willing to give him some slack because of his team members but still.....did you see Forans game yesterday, or Moses, or Teddy or etc

I could not give a flying f%$k if he takes the Perth job. Here are the facts....I doubt he leaves....Perth will be watching this crap too and I doubt he'll get 1.3 mil for it.

Looks like they are all copying Toa.

Galvin is good. I question whether Luai is a better player than him now let alone going forward.
