OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

I know Luai does so much for the culture off the field, blah blah blah but if I'm a young guy or team member and he serves up average performance after average performance.

What are going to think of him, no matter how hard he trains and so on.

Willing to give him some slack because of his team members but still.....did you see Forans game yesterday, or Moses, or Teddy or etc
I could not give a flying f%$k if he takes the Perth job. Here are the facts....I doubt he leaves....Perth will be watching this crap too and I doubt he'll get 1.3 mil for it.

Good call!

Speaking of shoulders...

Watch the pre-game warm-up in the sheds and Terrell is paired with Doueihi on the tackle pad

Terrell holds back momentarily before shoulder impact - and this is a pad FFS!!

Taylan could teach him a thing or two!

We have too many arm grabbers - and Fonua is starting to adopt those bad habits!

Need to cut the toxic rubbish playing 13 loose now - because low energy and effort is contagious!
Looks like they are all copying Toa.

When Luai had a stable spine and halves partner (Galvin) he was doing alright. We were winning and no one was complaining.... Things changed, there's been SOO, injuries, suspension and players leaving...

Right now the attack doesn't look good at all...

But they haven't exactly had alot of time to build out their combination... Infact I don't think we've had a game with Bula, Luai, Latu and Api yet, have we?
Galvin is good. I question whether Luai is a better player than him now let alone going forward.

i just don’t think he’s the main chief playmaker everyone expected him to be, never dominated games at Penrith either but was their energy man like they say
Yeah he’s good when he doesn’t have to do a lot as his energy brings up the others around him, and with Cle at y and two he didn’t have to game manage at all just do what’s he’s good at

The stats indicate there were 15 other Tigers with slower PTB speeds?
That kinda indicates that May and one other were quicker than the rest of the team?
I don't mean the actual speed of the ptb.

I mean once the defence gets their hands on him, he stands and struggles upright and the tackle itself takes a long time before the ptb.

Very different to charging into the defence, funding your front and getting a quick ptb.

Like Twaly does. Yes, I agree it’s annoying.

It's basically just loading the club with pacific islanders loyal to him and Benji. It's why Galvin and Da Silva were essentially forced out. So it could be Latu and Koroisau in the spine.

So Galvin and TDD left because there was a culture with Pacific islanders? 🤣🤣

Refs are reluctant to call “held” while the ball carrier is on his feet and or still moving forward.
Ah got it. It might be a coaching thing because I see May and Twal back into the defence looking for offloads all the time which keeps them on their feet. It also means the markers don't have to get up off the ground as they are already standing and in position when the tackle is completed.

Add it all up it's slow as anything and Api can't really play off the back of that.
