If we could find a quality prop rather than a specific 13, do people feel Terrell May has enough ball playing to move to 13? That could be a way to strengthen the overall middles, keep the dirty hitup and defence aspect, but add enough digging into the line and ball playing and give Luai and Latu the extra space they need to offer more attack. His long minutes may be more suited there was well.

I don't really believe this take on the Eels.

Since Tigers were last any good (2010), Parra have made the finals 5 times in 16 attempts (2017, 2019-2022). Their Finals record in that time is 4W 8L, including 2x straight-set loss knock outs in 2017-2020.

It's clearly much better than Tigers have managed but it's still very ordinary compared to most clubs. Eels probably won't make the Finals this year and certainly won't trouble the best sides.

I believe Eels usually rely too heavily on individual talent. For a good while it was Jarryd Hayne playing elite-level club football, now it's...

Please winning 1 more game in my eyes is not improving, nor is coming 16th instead of 18th.
Blind Bettty can see we need hard running forwards that has the other teams looking for them, but what do we have Alex 1 and Alex 2, they would not get a start in any other team but are always picked in ours.
And just on new signings is it true we have just signed 2 more halfbacks ???????? why!!, as the games i have attended this year, that is not our weakest spot.
Oh well always next year right.

Actually we signed 1 x halfback and 1 x 5/8. Both on lower end or development contracts for depth.

As others have said, I think it’s either AD or Tyrone - not both. We have four spots remaining without AD/Tyrone. If one of those four spots goes to them, I think we need another middle, another back and one spot left open for flexibility next year.

The back I think should be a decent utility depth signing - Mapapalingi potentially. The middle forward IMO needs to be high quality starter for us. Ideally a 13.

If Douiehi can turn himself into the 13 we need - too early to tell on that IMO - that gives us a bit more flexibility.

I also really think a hooker/lock hybrid to play the first 20 for Api - someone in the mould of Saliva Havilii - would be a very very useful addition. Tyrone May is probably better suited to that role than AD tbh but doesn’t quite bring the defensive impact that we’d ideally want for that role.
