Totally agree C. Has to be WT imo.No Balmain allegiance, I couldn't care less about Balmain. I hope we get a Wests Tigers branded club.

It says Balmain Leagues Club amalgamated with Wests Ashfield. They didn't survive as a stand alone club.
Who are these "NSW bin chickens" you are referring to?That’s Aussie Rules Branding. Apples and Oranges can’t compare because Victorian cultural component is significant to brand. Not so the NSW bin chickens.
cochise, Balmain [Tiger] allegiance is no longer required...let's be clear on that.No Balmain allegiance, I couldn't care less about Balmain. I hope we get a Wests Tigers branded club.
Let's play, I'm pretty sure the Wests part of our name game from the Wests Magpies. I also thought the main colour of the Wests Magpies was black? Like the Wests Tigers Main jersey?cochise, Balmain [Tiger] allegiance is no longer required...let's be clear on that.
You still have the Tigers in name, and the predominant colour of our jersey is Balmain Tigers colours [with just a small splash of white thrown in to appease the Wests Magpies side of our JV].
If you continue to push your tired narrative, I'll have to continue to balance it with how I see it.
Not out of spite, but because it deserves to be challenged.
Let's keep the conversation honest and constructive.
In reality the development will be a disaster for the region. Unless the government can extend the tunnel to go to the Gladesville bridge Rozelle will be gridlock all day everyday. Like Drummoyne already is. An extra thousands cars won't help$10k deposit (refudned) just to see the contacts.
I know a couple of interested parties who paid that.
Good to see it going ahead finally. Hopefully the benefits of the tunnel and Vic Rd being thinned will add to the already vastly improved Darling street section of Rozelle (thank god the sackie is ditching that French abomination!).
The next big question is what will happen to The Bridge. I've heard it's interesting; as a good Catholic boy I never once, ever, ventured in there at 7am after a big night out.......... 🙄
BZN you need to so some homework and take your own advice on keeping the conversation honest and constructive.cochise, Balmain [Tiger] allegiance is no longer required...let's be clear on that.

Wests have had majority ownership fpr a decade. Any issues you have about the jersey should be directed at them...complaining about your own side.cochise, Balmain [Tiger] allegiance is no longer required...let's be clear on that.

I was being amusing. I am, after all, the funniest person I’ve ever met. The only branding I support is Wests Tigers. The reggies Magpies should be branded Wests Tigers for consistency, given they are formed from Balmain, Wests and several other pathways programs.Who are these "NSW bin chickens" you are referring to?
I hope it's not Wests Magpies.
Edit...I now realise it is the Wests Magpies you were disrespectfully referring to, after reading your post#140.
Flash089, calling the Wests Magpies "bin chickens" isn't just disrespectful, it's also a lazy way to communicate.
The Magpie is a proud symbol with deep roots in western Sydney RL, not some scavenger stereotype.
If you're trying to score points with cheap shots, you're only undermining the legacy of a foundation club that helped build the game you claim to support.
You don't have to like the Magpies but at least show some respect.
If this kind of commentary continues, I'll have to keep the balance by showing respect and pride for the Magpies, whether it ruffles feathers or not.
Whats that got to do with brand worth.I know which one is an apex predator and which one is an annoying swooping bin chicken
Can’t help you there if you have to ask that question.Whats that got to do with brand worth.
get into him Jolls if he gets of thread, We all pollute threads but this guy is a geniusBZN you need to so some homework and take your own advice on keeping the conversation honest and constructive.
Let's look at the honest side first.
You stated "You still have the Tigers in name". Firstly there is no you - there is only we. We are one club. If we look at how our club was named one part of the name is Wests, refering to the historical roots of Western Suburbs Magpies and the other side Tigers referring the the historic roots of the Balmain Tigers. That is equal representation and was chosen by a vote some time ago by those that had a say when the JV was established. It isn't going to change; but, out of interest what would have been an appropriate name to represent both sides of the JV equally?
You stated "Our jersey is Balmain Tigers colours [with just a splash of white thrown in to appease the Wests Magpies side of our JV]." This is factually incorrect.
The Wests Magpies Jumper was predominatly black with a "splash of" white in the form of one large and one small chevron on the front. The current Wests Tigers home jumper is predominately black with one orange chevron and one smaller white chevron. It is a modernised and stylised Wests Magpies Jumper with a "splash of" orange replacing one chevron "to appease the Balmain side of the JV".
The away jumper is predominantly orange but maintains the Wests Chevron pattern. So the argument that the Jumper does not recognise the Wests side of the JV is false.
If we look at it in more depth you will find that Wests Magpies are over-represented. On both the home and away jumpers there is a Magpie on each sleeve representing the historic roots of Wests Magpies. On the back of each jumper is the NSWRL Western Suburbs Magpies and Balmian Tigers emblems. This is equal represntation of the foundation clubs and reflects our historical roots. On the front of each jumper is the emblem of Wests Tigers - our current emblem.
If you are truly for equal representation for both sides of our JV I trust that you will be calling for the immediate removal of the two addtional Magpies.
As an aside. I have heard no one complaining about the history of the Balmain Tigers being denigrated because the gold of their original jumpers has been changed to orange, nor are there calls for a Tiger to replace one of the Magpies on the sleeeves of our jumpers "so that the history of one of our founding club isn't trampled by the Wests Magpies side of the JV." Given these acts are so henious why do you think that is so?
What is the truth? Western Suburbs Magpies are not under represented in the Club's name or on the home or away jumper. No one on this forum is pushing to have our roots to Wests Magpies removed.
You state that you want to keep the conversation constructive. However, when you have been pressed to articulate what you want to see happen you have not delivered. What is it that you want to see - what does right look like to you?
Until you can articulate that no one can undersand what you are arguing for.
This isn't an us and them, me v you issue. We all support Wests Tigers, we will all have opinions on what we think is best for Wests Tigers going forward. Wests Magpies and Balmain Tigers will historically be the roots of the club. We need to reflect on the past but look to the future if we want Wests Tigers to be part of the NRL going forward.
