Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I assume everyone is, to a degree.

And if we arent, then I don't know how you can be upset that you aren't hearing about the discussions we are having, because technically we can't be having them...
You’re putting words in my mouth. I never said I was upset with anything. I’m going off what the club has said that they would rather wait for something to fall out of trees. In reaction to that, I’d rather them be more proactive than sit on their hands.

Ok replace him with Ben Taity or Joe Chan, that will make us a much better team 🙄
You along with a few others keep harping on about recruiting better quality middles, but have no idea who that player is or where they are coming from.
NEWS FLASH - There is currently a big shortage on high quality middles, there are plenty of NRL teams looking for one or two of them, not just us.
I think the WTF podcast recommendation of the ex union front rower at the Warriors is inspired. He’s clearly dynamic and raw , yet still learning the game . And as he’s I think 24 now he has a grown man’s body . A guy like that , basically a more dynamic Hunt , is exactly what we should be looking for .
The issue with front rower is , that the best ones outside of that freak in Brisbane , don’t develop properly until 25 plus , but there’s zero patience to develop these guys . Even Pole some people want him dropped tomorrow , and he’s clearly going to be special if he persists on his current trajectory. He just needs to mature.
A huge positive out of expansion will be impatient football departments will have to be more patient and less ruthless in regards to most players , as there will be a shortage on the market . Meaning more money and time to be spent of actually developing juniors . There’s like honestly half the league who are forever purchasing players from other clubs junior systems all the way through to nrl and inclusive .
People talk about the dogs pathway , but a lot of those players were purchased from other junior systems and brought across , rebadged and now we have to accept things like “Alex Conti is a bulldogs junior “ when he went there at 18. Same for manly and the roosters , and even Souths junior league , once the pride of the nrl , has fallen away .
My point is , I think it would be dumb to get an elite front rower . I think someone like Fletcher Baker who could shore up the bench , and a raw project like Toby Crosby has to be the path moving forward . Your spine needs to take up 33% of your cap , to have any chance of a premiership. What I mean by that is not paying Luke Brooks 1 mil , but rather paying luai 1.2m etc . Genuine million dollar players . Which means you have to be stingy in places like winger , and front row .
People saying chase Tino , with Bula coming off contract and Latu going to the market in 2 years have lost thier marbles … development in guys like Tapau Moors and competition for places hopefully should see these guys pushing through around 23 years old and forcing guys like Seyfarth to lift or lose thier spot .

If Hunt is fit ..that’s why I prefer him to Seyfarth … he can provide more impact and only needs to spell Terrell for 15-20 mins …

I know you expect Hunt to be “moved on”… but that’s easier said than done ..
If we can find another decent prop and the addition of KPP to the side, I have Sione and Pole going back to the bench.

We all want Royce to pull his finger out and provide some extra so with Latu, Seyfarth misses out of my top lineup until there's injuries/ suspensions.

Some on here may not agree, but everyone has their own opinion.

That’s my bench …proclvided KPP beats out Sione … I like how Sione has been going at edge since they put him there

Who is this Sultana? If he the speedy hooker who played for Souths years ago?
Dunno , maybe . He’s the coach who has taken the beyond dismal Balmain Sg ball to the cusp of finals , and the looking to not win a game all year Flegg team , to 2nd best in the comp , only to be completely unlucky in the fact there were 6 teams daylight … then the rest of the comp … with the tigers Flegg being 6th because of the shocking start to the season , and a top 5 finals system. So at the very least he’s had an amazing season , but most probably he’s a talented coach .

Some very good points you raise.
I’ve also noticed some very good highlights showing explosive ball running from Toby Crosby. Outside of JFH the Warriors do not have any high profile props themselves, so I don’t think they will be letting him go.
I don’t mind the Fletcher Baker call as someone who could add valuable depth and competition for a position in our top 17.
