In a team containing star players where they could simply fill a role.some of our backs have won a premiership 🤣
We don’t have that same luxury.

bit harsh. In a team containing star players where they could simply fill a role.
We don’t have that same luxury.
Turuva $450k is fine though …. geez they were paying Nofo $500k for years weren’t they..
Seriously mate, go and have a lie downWhat tells you he would not be an elite fullback or centre ?
He is a supreme athlete with the size, explosive speed, athleticism and skill to trouble any opposition, I’m sorry to say but Bula can only dream of being in that class of player.
We have certainly become accustomed to being satisfied with mediocrity as Wests Tigers fans.
If an NRL club way outside the top 8 does not look at ways to dramatically improve their playing roster, they continue tn finish well outside the top 8.
Is that a better solution ?
You forgot Ivan as coachReplace Doueihi with Cleary and let’s add Payne Haas and Yeo. Maybe get Kikau in the back row and get Reece Walsh for depth.
She said outside backs. You've cherry picked 3 players and still only got to 2.5 million. We atre already paying close to 3 million with the Bula, Turuva and Luai combination.
You would destroy our clubIf an NRL club way outside the top 8 does not look at ways to dramatically improve their playing roster, they continue tn finish well outside the top 8.
Is that a better solution ?
Look second half of the year he played great.T
No inconsistency shown in the halves this season.
I thought I saw where Bula is one of the fastest in the NRLOut of respect I didn’t even mention To’a, no other club would put him in their NRL team, not sure why we do ?
Turuva tries his guts out so can’t be criticised, but he is a smaller sized winger with very little x-factor and is not a real contender to play any other position, so his 450k contract is pushing the limits.
You are living in fairy land if you honestly believe Bula via Isaac will not be asking us for an upgrade as part of a proposed contract extension, Bula is a good solid player who will continue to improve, but if you are being serious he does not have the explosive speed or quality to be a million dollar per season player.
Do we just overlook that and pay him the money anyway because he’s a nice guy, has been loyal to the club and we don’t have anyone better internally ?
Or do we be more ruthless like the more successful clubs and be active in the player market come Novemberb1 to try any recruit the best quality value for money players that are available ?
The key word here is AVAILABLE as many of our supporters seem to believe an influx of quality middles have been hiding behind a rock somewhere and will magically become available.

Our forwards struggle when trying to stop opponents making ground right through the middle of us. Especially late in the game. That's what happened in the last 3 rounds, earlier too. From last nights Storm v Bulldogs game, what 2 forwards could we take and what current players would they replace to ensure we are a much better team ?
Many supporters keep blaming our forwards, but I have not seen us struggle to get into our attacking zone very often, it’s what we do with the ball when we are in our attacking zone which is a much bigger problem.
A large part of that is not being able to build any pressure due to poor last tackle options.
Add the lack of a decent long kicking game and it’s quite clear that poor halves play is putting unnecessary pressure on our team, particularly our forwards.
The bench isn't that strong, Twal isn't a good 13.Let's just say our pack next season is something like this ...
13 Twal 12 KPP 11 Samuela 10 NEW PROP 9 Api 8 Terrell
then our bench covers all bases with this ...
14 Doueihi (lock + backline cover) 15 Pole 16 Sione (also covers backrow) 17 Havilii (hooker + another middle, allows Api to play 60 mins)
Hunt & Seyfarth become depth.
Roberts is a development contract for 2026, upgrade to NRL squad 2027Better them, than us. I say.
He'd be a star for them though.
I think we've got a good one in Ethan Roberts on our hands.
Still think perhaps Viliami Fifita or Lazarus Vaalepu [or both 🤔] are worth a look. On the cusp of being break out first graders imo
Vicious your on fire 🔥 today brother. I get it it's obvious to many we are a few players short of being a quality side regardless of everyone saying we have made lots if changes and this and that. At the end of the day supporters that aren't satisfied with our roster have a right to there opinion. At the end of the say we gave a Lot of improvement and and definitely short of some impact forwards that attract defenders. As fir Bula I'm sorry I git to disagree. I wasn't a fan but it's obvious the difference in the team with him in it is enormous. I think hel improve and become a elite fullback. As for Moses being his manager I think you'll find he is different. Manager had a say but at the end of the day anyone with character would make the final decision and I hear he is an absolute gentleman. As for the rest go for it brother that's what this place is for regardless of some people not agreeing 👍Reading between the lines, there is absolutely no chance he extends with us for the 800k or 900k that is supposedly part of his current contract.
Having Isaac Moses as his manager, do you truly believe they will do us any favours ?
I value Bula at around 700k.Vicious your on fire 🔥 today brother. So what players that are realistic recruitment options for 2026 or 2027 do you suggest we target to improve us in this area ?Our forwards struggle when trying to stop opponents making ground right through the middle of us. Especially late in the game. That's what happened in the last 3 rounds, earlier too.
Yes I think we all know Twal is not a stereotypical 13 and stunts our attack more often than not.The bench isn't that strong, Twal isn't a good 13.
I reckon you get yourself a good dominant pack of forwards, especially props, and most NRL calibre backs will win you the game.some of our backs have won a premiership 🤣
I don't want a solid middle, we have enough of those. I want a dominant prop in the James fisher Harris mould hits hard in both attack and especially defence and plays 50mins. If we have to wait till 2027, so be it.N
News flash, there are next to no middles available and unless we are offering Payne Haas 1.6 million per season, the vast majority of middles becoming available are not going to dramatically improve us.
With Terrell May, Sione Fainu, Fonua Pole and Alex Twal, we have 4 solid NRL middles. I’d guess we are looking tn recruit one more solid NRL middles for 2026 if possible and that will no doubt help, but it will not be a player who is going to play a huge role in us jumping 10 spots on the NRL ladder.
