Personally my tip would be Jarred Farlow (current assistant coach NSW Cup) as this club loves to promote from within our own coaching ranks.
Would not surprise if it's Matt Church who has just finished up at Brisbane Tigers. Knows how to coach to premiership success at this level & develop players.
Another type who could be an option is an existing high school RL coach given the NSW Cup job is only Part Time. Tom Morrison is the St Gregs Campbelltown coach, current player/coach in the Macarthur A grade comp & has coached previously in the WT pathways (SG Ball, LDC).
@jrtiger do you know about Tom Morrison from your contacts in the region & whether possibly up to NSW Cup level coach?

know a little bit, he's done some work in the pathways but don't think he'll get the Cup job. I think it'll be someone external.
I think off the top of my head he has knock back similar within WT 1 or 2 years ago. Very capable coach who plays attacking football.

NSW Cup Season Review
The team placed 9th with 9 wins, 1 draw & 14 losses. They had the 3rd worst attack in the comp (Points For) & 2nd worst defence (Points Against) & 2nd worst Differential (-172 points).
We went through 10 rounds with 2 wins & 8 losses including 4 losses by 24+ points. Then from Round 11, we went 7 wins, 1 draw & 6 losses (with 2 of the worst losses in that period in our final 2 rounds).
Best Players
IMO our best player through the season was Izaac Tu’itupou on the left wing. Definitely the most impactful and led the overall comp stats for Post Contact Metres. Could he sneak a Top 30 deal for 2026 as a depth winger & centre option?
Our other consistently good players were (in no particular order), Charlie Murray, Tristan Hope, Elie El-Zakhem & Jaxson Rahme.
I’ll also give a mention here to Krystian Mapapalangi as our team’s fortunes changes when he came into our team, adding some creativity and class to our backline’s attack. So did Peter Taateo for that matter with his strong ball running & defensive intent.
Kurt Falls was a strong contributor to our team too with his game management & leadership but unfortunately his defence was at times terrible & quite costly.
Other NRL squad players chimed in through the season with big performances like Brent Naden, Luke Laulilii, Royce Hunt, TDS, Heath Mason, Faataape, Alex Lobb & Kit Laulilii.
Unfortunately, our final 2 games of the season has left a bad impression on me of Mapapalangi & Taateo particularly as I thought they were getting close to NRL selection before that but put in a couple of poor performances.

I feel that the promotion of Mataale, Taotua, Lanyon & Matai in the final 1-2 rounds was a reward for great seasons in Jersey Flegg and perhaps a pointer they are being retained as NSW Cup players next season.
Into 2026
After last year’s disastrous season and missing the finals this season, a coaching shake-up & further alteration of our senior development pathways is required.
The club made progress this season in recruiting experienced & battle-hardened Cup players and we need that to continue for next season. Better depth in our NRL squad will help as will the experience attained this year by the likes of Mason & the Laulilii brothers at this level.
The coaching needs to instill greater defensive resolve into our overall squad as well as greater reps of players in the same position both for defensive structure but also our attack which looked clunky at best this season.
Shane Sultana brought this into the Jersey Flegg team mid-season so maybe he is a good shout to get another promotion into this role.

I think a critical part of our progress in NSW Cup next season will be having the experience of Jock Madden, Tristan Hope & Charlie Murray (lock) in the spine, Alex Seyfarth & probably another experienced forward in the middle, and the experience of Mav Geyer & Izaac Tu'itupou on the edges. The operative word being 'experienced'.
Reckon next season if injury-free Kit & Luke Laulilii will be massive in this grade for us!

(Still wraps it up to this day) Was his parents first time watching him play live too (From an old memory)
Pretty sure we won and Woods ran for a gazillion metres.

Wondering who stays on amongst the Magpie contracted players.
Guys like Lobb, Porter, Rahme and El - Zakhem. Wouldn't be interested in any of them except El-Zakhem who was excellent this year.

I guess it'll depend if any of them think they will get a better opportunity elsewhere because most of the above will be NSW Cup depth imo and will likely see a lot of Ron Massey Cup.
If I'm to guess I reckon Rahme & El Zakhem are good chances of staying, because usually if they come to the club in the first place, most are guaranteed 2 years to get them here (especially those young progressing types). Which lines up for your mail on Luke Jack.

Not bad, BUT Jarvon Andrews at 5/8. Thats why we got him. Madden to teach him how to succeed.
This is the underlying plan IMO. Luai's successor?
Mason to Ron Massey Cup until he gets his act together. Maybe hooker best option but suspect on front on defence.
He is 20 now and in nowhere land.
Time to look beyond Mason. A great junior but not quite NRL standard if we want to progress.
I reckon Luke Jack could potentially be a similar style of player to Ray Stone being a lightweight, but high energy versatile forward who leads the defensive line with his line speed.
I would be giving him the off season to see how he is with service from dummy half to see if he can become another option to mix between dummy half and back row.

He was a lock coming up through juniors in Qld and made the U19 Qld SOO team at lock from memory.
