Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

For an outside back id look at Fletcher Myer just released from Souths before Corey Allen. He's young, would be cheaper and the kid is way faster than Allen with a higher potential upside
We could do worse.
He has looked good in a couple of his NRL appearances, but stagnated at the Rabbitohs for some season.

Given we have 3 spots currently & what's on the market my 3 purchases would be:

1. Jonah Pezet (1 Year Loan) - Considering Latu is out early in the year & again will miss pre-season, Jonah for a year is smart option. Means Doueihi can be used as a Utility, Lock or Right Centre depth if required. All other backline positions we have depth for.

2. Siosifa Talaki - Exactly what we need can play Centre, Backrow or Middle. Depth everywhere we need & impact from the bench while Latu is out.

3. Tui Kamikamica - The middle forward depth we need. Fijian, comes from a good system & is about to play a Grand Final. Would not break the bank, will be in & out the 17.

Based on what we have plus the 3 signings.

1. Bula/Mason
2. Turuva/L Lualili
3. Toa/Bird
4. TayMay/Saukuru
5. Makasini/Skelton
6. Luai/Andrews
7. Pezet* (L Fainu)/Madden
8. TeyMay/Seyfarth
9. Korosaui/Hope
10. Si Fainu/K Lualili
11. Sa Fainu/Geyer
12. Pearce-Paul/Sukkar
13. Twal/Murray
14. Doueihi/Haywood
15. Pole/Goodinet
16. Talaki*/Roberts
17. Hunt/Taupua-Moors
18. Kamikamica*/Broderlow

I would say Mapapalangi, Thompson, Rahme and a few others will get Cup/T&T contracts to assist with centre depth which seems the obvious shortage.

Well there’s always one.
This bloke just waiting for THAT moment.

Madge can coach … but only with a team full of top players. Kiwis ✅ Blues ✅ Brisbane All Stars ✅

Face the facts. He was here 4 years, let that sink in, 4 years and each year we got worse. Yet people say he didn’t have the roster he wanted.

Now I can’t prove it but I think the NRL really wanted the Broncos in the GF. The raiders were absolutely dudded in their finals match.

Yesterday the Panthers led 14-0 at half time and I told the wife that most the calls would go to The Broncs in the second half and walah!
So, the top teams this season, Broncos, Penrith, Storm, Raiders, not full of top players? How do you think you get to the finals, with bums?

I’m not sure, but my count says we currently have 27 top 30 players contracted for 2026 including Bud Sullivan who we are supposedly offloading to the Rabbitohs and including Jack Bird who we are also rumoured to be trying to offload.
So if we successfully offload those 2, we would only have 25 contracted top 30 players for 2026 by my count ?
Mate, I think you need to give up on Jack Bird being off-loaded.

Nah, Madge wouldn't just hire Bum's.. He hires Drop kicks, Dickwads and a bunch of hasbeens...

That said, Good on Madge. (Bar the fact this forum is going to have people saying "Why dinnit we give him 10 years to turn us around). He is a good guy and even though the Broncos have cash in closets, he got them to the finals, which is an effort.

Still Spewing that he can get Reynolds to re-sign with the Donkeys for 500k, yet couldn't get Adam Reynolds to play for us when he was here. Heck want proof Madge wouldn't have worked here, WT = Jackson Hastings and Brooks, Brisvegas gets Reynolds for peanuts.

To be honest I don’t think we used him all that well, so it’s not the end of the world if we keep him and hopefully use him much better in 2026.
However past history tells us once Benji is off a player there is generally no coming back.
I would say Bird is well aware of that and will likely be wanting to move on because of it.

You are lucky you can talk to your wife about this. My wife only likes the football when I take the kids to the games and she gets a break.
Yeah, same here Ice. Despite being together for almost 50 years my wife has never bought into the footy and is highly amused every year when I talk up the Tigers. She loves to watch my expression after I watch the Tigers game each week.
