There’s a strong click in the playing group. The Fainu’s, May’s, Api and Turuva. Whether Bula is in that group, I’m not sure. Doesn’t seem like it.

That is true. From the rumours that were posted on here last week Tigers are trying to pay him less in the salary cap and make up the difference with 3rd party deals. That way he’ll still get the 800/900K and only cost us 600+.

If that could be achieved that would be a great outcome for the cap, let's hope that comes to fruition.
 
Players that will come cheap for reserve grade to play at our club and other clubs ,
Jackson Hastings 29 yrs
Half , lock
No contract and looking to stay in Sydney due to family reasons , UK not an option .
Experienced, Tuff , solid back up , Newcastle could have used him but didn’t the same as they used KPP. All wrong
Pay packet $ 300 k probably gets him .and I think he would be solid cover 1 year deal just to get Latu up and running , way better than Madden IMO
 
Bula doesn't seem the vexacious type. I'd be surprised if he leaves. The Tigers want him, have nobody pushing in behind him, have invested heavily in his development, are likely to offer him the most coin, are only now starting to field a consistently competitive team. There are very few signs pointing at him leaving and anyone saying otherwise is either death riding the club or suffering from PTSD.

If he does then he does. We'll put out a team next year with a player in that position. Do we just save a heap of energy and angst this time around and let him go, go for 2026 if he wants, and focus on getting a player to replace him (remember he's not a generational talent like Tedesco or Cleary just a decent player with some upside) who can do the job the teams needs ? -

Not the worst idea however how long do you give Latu time to get up and running, and besides Latu is a lock not a halfback

I would play Latu when fit in reserve grade first up , couple runs and if he shows he is ready bring him in , AD to play half from the start as I don’t think Madden will , I could be wrong and Benji uses Madden , pre season may be the answer , speaking of pre season when do our lads come back officially ,

Lock? Ha, that’s funny.
He came here to play lock and I’m pretty sure that was never his intention.
No exgirlfriends especially ones that were worse than a broken hoover.
TBH I’m not that keen on madden, but we need at least one halfback at the club. His new nickname name is Token.

I’d like to see Latu get full games at half in any level consistently for a year. Ain’t gunna happen though, i reckon Benji plays him if he’s fit. He’s another one who could do with a few injury free seasons to develop into an NRL player.
 
Guys I am really stumped thinking about this.

We want Latu to have the proper development but if he is not on the bench who is replacing Api for 15-20 minutes? Api can't go 80 anymore. TDM should get less minutes too.

If they can pull that off , then bula gets his money anyway , who cares where it comes from as long as it’s in ur account
