Jahream Bula #269

This is Re Issac Moses.

CUT ALL TIES!

I have a pass for Bula because I blame that situation on us. That said, would rather punt Bula if it means all Issac Moses players are gone.
Godinet must go or change managers.

Heck why keep any "promissing new talent" under IM. We know exactly what will happen if they find form.

Does this mean the spoon? Maybe. But it means we can start afresh and from a base that can build.
Every year we keep an IM player, we will get into this same garbage. See Manly and how crap coaching + player manager white-anting has ruined them. (bold call, I expect them to be bottom 4 or spoon without DCE).

Rip the cancer from out of our club.
This is just fantasy nonsense.
What if he wants to get vindictive and sign all our good young talent coming through?
Are you prepared to cop another decade plus of bottom 4 to gain a moral victory?

If our club has a problem with a player manager based partly on a rift with our coach, then it stands to reason that our coach has a problem to fix that his job depends on.

Yeah lets hire Joe Webhe as assistant coach to keep Bula happy and sack Benji 4 matches into next season to arrange a more satisfactory approved coach. We need to keep Moses onside at all costs it'll pay massive dividends and will be a great move for our club.

yes exactly because it’s going great for manly and cowboys currently.

Obviously that’s not what I am others are saying.
Moses is a necessary evil that has to be dealt with.
Aggressive approaches clearly don’t work with him.

No. You don’t have to deal with him. At least not on his terms. If players work out their managers behavior cuts off access to enough clubs, less will sign on with him over time. He’s not an honorable or honest man. Eventually every club that allows him to have too much influence over roster (and coach) ends up with a giant malignancy that can’t be excised without major trauma to the patient.

If he disappears, good. Currently he remains and is holding good cards.
Maybe we need a “me too” type of bullshit movement to force change.

I’ve been trying to tell people this …but a lot here told me that Isaac Moses will make the call,,.

Bula probably never spoke to Moses until he became his manager 18 months ago… this decision will probably be one of the biggest of his life… he is a fool to entrust it to someone else and I doubt he will…

Also …23 and married isn’t a kid …like Galvin was last year ..and I suspect Galvin’s father had more influence than Moses on his decision to leave the club
Let’s make a distinction between Galvin and Bula for a start. Galvin wanted out of the club for ages. Yes, Moses brought it to a head and used gutter tactics to orchestrate, but we shouldn’t be fooled into thinking he turned Galvin. He had already decided he was too good to be in a struggling club. Good riddance. I hope he ends up broken down playing super league for Salford Red Devils before he turns 25. Bula is a stronger, more honorable character, who seems like he wants to be at the club. Doesn’t mean he’s definitely going to stay, but he’s clearly not looking for the first or any exit door. I hope we keep him. He’s a good fullback with the potential to be a very good fullback and the team is definitely better when he’s playing. One of our more consistent too. Rarely has an off day.

He is a player manager, not a dictator of a small country with absolute power.

The players have brains and can make decisions of their own.

If the club wasn't such a dogs breakfast, we probably wouldn't have lost the "big 4" when we did... The club was in shambles. Can't blame anyone for leaving back then really.

Which is EXACTLY why we need to cut him.

He signs Galvin, Galvin walks.
He signed Moses, Brooks, Teddy and Woods and they all walk but Brooks...

Every club has a rebuild, it's ripping a bandaid, screaming but starting from a solid position.
While our "young talent" signs with Moses, if they prove to be any good... They will walk.
Or worse, they prove to be Mediocre-semi good and we get yearly negotiations for more pay and demands to pay Overs.

Rip the bandaid off. Refuse this BS.

Set the club right.
While Issac Moses is at our club, he will pray on gun players. We lost Bula because we let Issac Moses waltz in here with Galvin. If we said No Moses sooner, this Bula drama would be a lot less.

Say No Moses now, or forever fumble below the top 10.

I think you’re right here. Can you honestly blame a player like Tedesco for leaving our poorly run unsuccessful club to go to the Roosters under the guidance of Mini, for more money and benefits. The guy was able to go to the next level surrounded by quality players.
As for the others, Woods was an absolute myth of a player, and Moses always had talent but absolutely no character.
I think it’s more about the way players leave their club than the fact they move on seeking opportunity or success. Both Woods and Moses in particular, behaved poorly as has Galvin. I’m happy they played elsewhere.

I agree. That’s my point.

If we refuse him and his stable, that will not necessarily help us back into the 8.
It’s cutting off your nose to spite your face.
