Jersey Talk - Mega Thread

I hope it's just a sample run and they opted for some stitch patches and not screen printed.

Guess we'll find out Friday.
What is usually embroidered...the NRL & WTs logos?
Anything else

It looks the same as the one Maka wore...but it does.look unfinished

Hope the white ones better...i guess itll be inverted sortof

Been told that this could be a prototype, which would make sense ad it looks unfinished.

Not the same as what was in the leak, the stripes continue onto the sleeves in the leak unlike this one, and the Pepper logo has a far thicker stroke as in the leak the orange background colour shows through the gaps in the letters rather than being fully white. Also the printed logos also would make you think player issue, as replicas generally never have that feature and are embroidered or stuck on, but there is no grip elements which makes it not a player issue. And the tag on the bottom is also usually stitched on and not printed.

So think if anything this is a prototype, or fake based on reported design elements.

Either that, or the fans are not getting the same look as what the players wear (which though done overseas in soccer for some manufacturers, but has never happened here as far as I know).

Generally, yeah.

It's a step in the right direction, imo.
Hopefully better than Steedan, their graphics peeled off so easy after a few washes.

Embroidery is probably better, yeah?
These prints are known to flake and fade.

That looks thailand quality.
Hey Demps . . .the jersey is sublimated. The fabric starts off white, and the ink of the print is applied to a paper, then this is pressed into the fabric with heat and pressure to transfer the ink images onto the white fabric. ( that's why the inside of your fishing, sports jerseys, etc shirts is white ) The print is only applied to one side of the white fabric.
The colours generally don't fade or deteriorate in any way. The colour transition from orange to black is easily achieved using this process, and cannot deteriorate in any way. Any logo's can be applied at the same time as all the colours and print features onto the white fabric, but will of course look much better with a bit of definition when embroidered.
The flaking and fading you refer to are from older technology "heat pressing", which is basically a printed vinyl transfer heat bonded onto fabric. Yes, even the best of this stuff does fade over time. The best quality material still only comes with a 50 wash "guarantee".
Sorry for the lecture, but that's how it works.

It might be one of those shirts/ jerseys/ tops that looks good on . The photo I saw of Makasini in the jersey , and it looked formidable . A lot more than last years jersey .
That’s not to say Kev down the local RSL will look good in it . But I think from the photo I saw , it will be an upgrade on the old on field jersey . Not sure how much merch that will sell though .

Yeah, true.

It may grow on people.
Keen to see the official drop Friday.
