Regardless of what DB is dreaming about, you do realise that any potential change of name would need to be passed by PVL and the NRL ?
Common sense tells us the NRL licence would be transferred to either Canpbelltoelwn, the Central Coast, Queensland, Wellington or Christchurch before a name change would be considered or accepted by the NRL.
DB cannot be that out of touch with reality to understand this, could he ?

My biggest problem with BOF is his competence. I don’t rate him. He led the Coalition back to power in NSW but that was on the back of years of Labor incompetence and corruption (e.g McDonald, Obeid etc).
He was guilty of the most appalling lapse of judgement in relation to the Grange which caused him to fall on his sword. He made a minor issue huge by lying.
I won’t miss him as Chair.

I understand that but if Richo proposed something that was unacceptable, you might deal with him but they sacked four directors, not Richo, I’d say, if it happened, it’s unrelated to this week’s fiasco.

So now HGB are upset that they were consulted on a proposal, it's all getting very confusing!
From a commercial and continuity stand point it probably makes sense, but if they don't want it so be it.

I'm 55 years old.
The Wests Tigers are 25 years old.
This forum has been around in some form for almost as long.

1/4 of a century we have been our own entity without any Balmain or Wests. The forum offers a bit of a snap shot or an example of who we are as a fan base and here we are still arguing Magpies v Balmain 25 years on.

It's sad and kind of pathetic really. Got to the point where id he happy if they blew the whole thing up.

I feel sorry for Shane Richardson, feel sorry for Benji Marshall and all the players who have ever worn the jersey now and in the past.

Magpie is gone in the NRL and accepted by most i think, inc me. There is absolutely no reason the lower State Cup or whatever its called can't have the Magpie as its emblem. It's not the NRL. Shouldn't conflate the 2 separate and different competitions.

How is he a puppet? The bloke is the chairman of the board and a WT board member who has undertaken three coups.

Who is puppeting him? the only people it can be is the other debenture holders. So the same problem still stands.

Surely Richo can make a proposal like that without getting offside with HBG. The problem is we’re all engaging in guesswork and the published word from HBG makes almost no sense at all. Added to that the void created by HBG since their announcement is unforgivable. I suspect they may have applied a gag to Richo because most fans would like to hear from him. But I think Richo will only stay silent while it suits him. Let’s hope he speaks soon.

Did you actually read what he said - He is suggesting that its possible O'Farrel is making decisions without consulting board members. I'm not suggesting thats true but it definitely is possible that he is overstepping his powers.

One only has to look back at HBG and Wests Tigers boards over the past decade to see the one constant. All others at HBG have been killed off, replaced with puppets. After the dismissal of the WT board prior to the independent review, who do you think got themselves back on the board as the HBG rep? He has never been the public mouthpiece, leaving that to guys he knows adore the public profile, like Lee, Richo, and now Paton. While 'HBG' are referenced, again, with this latest chapter in social media and national media, he somewhat has an out, remaining faceless and under the radar to continue his self-interested work. There needs to be collaborative pod just on this guy. Carryannis or Read need to do an article on him. He is the emperor, and nothing will change while he continues to have influence.

So Dennis is living in a fantasy world, letting his obtuse impression fool and manipulate everyone in his way ?
Could it be that Richo has previously clashed with DB, cannot stand DB and no longer wants to deal with DB, therefore conducted a plan with BO to have certain things approved without going to board level, knowing full and well certain things they felt were important would potentially be blocked ?
Once this filtered back to the HBG or DB did they or he then plan to keep letting it unfold until there was enoug evidence to remove the independent board members which they or he knew would infuriate Richo and likely lead to him resigning, which they or he hoped would happen without any blood on their or his hands ?
